Every religion compares itself to Christianity because Christianity was the main driving religion for over 1500 years and shaped much of history, it also got filled with more then 1500 years worth of issues as well. Also we live in a world that is dominated by the Christian thought and ideas that lasted for nearly 1500 years. And the Christians have been known for going around and imposing beliefs on others as best they can. Besides Christianity is the worlds largest religion, if another faith becomes # 1 for along time, changes the mindset of the world then people will compare their beliefs to that one.

Probably because Christianity is one of the oldest religions next to Judaism and it is one of the first religions accepted world-wide. Another reason is that most of the other religions(minus Judaism) seems to "be born" from Christianity. The Atheists are completely against the idea of a God,but all the others have a God of their own. Another thing is that those religions are trying to look for the evil in the Catholic communities without looking at their own evils and trying to fix that first so that more people might join their religion. But peolpe are always looking for the evil in someone else and they don't see how evil they have become. I am not trying to say that all people are evil. There are those who are part of a religion that the media makes into the role model of that religion without looking at the ten more good ones there are. The closest religions to Christianity,I think, are Islam,Judaism,Mormon and perhaps Buddhist(I really don't know much about that religion, but I do want to know more). I am a Catholic and I have made friends of people who are not Catholics. I can accept a person for who they are not the differences in religion(despite the fact there may be more similarites between our religons than we are taught to believe).

B/c Christianity is the most aggressive religion pusher & also America is founded on Christianity so they have alot of followers.
I've never had a Buddhist or Wiccan try to sell me on their religion as aggressively as Christians.

Most Americans and Europeans are most familiar with Christianity. It doesn't do any good comparing Islam to Taoism if the other person doesn't know the tenets of the Taoism.

um...there's more christians in the world. however, there are many denomonations inside the Christian faith. So instead of comparing extreme opposites like athiests and christians, why don't you see baptists and catholics battleing it out?

Satan is the author of those incoherent comparisons with Christianity. Men are not our enemies but satan himself. He is a real being in the spirit.

The Christians are easy to "beat up", because they never have a sane intelligent answer to anything. We should probably feel guilty for picking on them, but they bring it on themselves by trying to get us to join them in the Land of Self-Delusion.

Christians can be pretty agressive, and they make their presence highly visible. So it's easy for someone to point them out when describing their views. (sort of like pointing out landmarks when giving directions to someone)

from my understanding, the difference is with other religions you have to do something to attain a closer relation to or with God...in Christianity, Grace is a free gift that can not be earned by works.
