Your question really makes very little sense. Let me try to address your issues, point by point:
- " 'The devil' is against them"
Please provide proof of "the devil's" existence, and more proof that this devil is against Jews in specific.
- "The smallest religion"
Hardly. As you can see in the Adherents.com site provided below, Judaism falls at #7 of the world's religions, with 14 million estimated adherents. #22 on the list is Scientology with 500,000 estimated adherents.
- "Lots of people hate them"
And this proves, what, exactly? Lots of people also hate Islam. In my opinion, people hate that which they do not understand. The rest of your diatribe shows me you understand very little of Judaism, and Christianity, for that matter.
- "The Christians say their laws are stupid"
Which Christians? Do you mean anyone in particular, or just YOU? That would be a strange thing for Christians to say, given that the laws Jews follow were given to them by G-d. For Christians to say the laws are "stupid" is to say that those Christians also believe their own god is "stupid." I think some laws in other countries are stupid but, do you know what? I don't live in those countries, so they don't really bother me. Why are you up in arms about the laws of Judaism if you're not Jewish?
- "To many to fallow" [sic]
I believe you meant: "Too many laws to follow," yes? Are you Jewish? If not, then why does it bother you so?
- "Most of it is common sense"
This tells me that you know very little about the 613 laws of G-d. I am providing a website with a list. Peruse them and then get back to us here with the number of them that fall into the "common sense" category, and why you believe they do.
- "the christian way has 652 laws itself"
You claim the Christian way has 652 laws, but that would be MORE than the 613 Jews are to try to follow. It has always been my impression that Jesus commanded 2 laws of his followers: to love G-d and to love others.
- "What really changed in the law, pork and some other things."
Not at all. NOTHING has changed in the laws. What HAS changed is that the Temple in Jerusalem was destroyed in approximately 73 c.e. so the animal sacrifices came to a halt, and the line of priests disappeared, so those laws cannot be kept at this time. This doesn't mean that the laws themselves have changed, though. The covenant between G-d and the Jews is ETERNAL (look up the meaning to that word, 'kay?).
- "the christians all say I am glad he died for me"
Well, no kidding! Of course Christians say that! That is key to their religious beliefs! Jesus is considered a prophet in Islam, but to all other faiths, Jesus is completely irrelevent.
- "No real care for the lamb of god"
Well, Jesus was "the lamb of god" for Christians only. Do you have real care for the beliefs of other faiths? This diatribe against Judaism tells me that the answer is a resounding, "No!"
- "can you imagine all those sheep that would have to be sacrificed"
It seems to me that you don't understand what sacrifices were for. They were only for unintentional sins, or at specific times of the year. There have ALWAYS been other methods of atonement, which continue to this day.
You wonder how many sheep would be sacrificed if Jesus hadn't died.. well, Jesus theoretically died in 33 c.e., right? The animal sacrifices continued for another 40 years. They stopped because of the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem. If (some say "when") the Temple is rebuilt, then the system of sacrifices will resume.
- "I am thankfull the son of G-d is on that tree."
According to Judaism, all men are the sons of G-d. According to history, hundreds of thousands of the sons of G-d died by crucifixion.
- "I would rather Jesus be an animal sacrifice then this lamb."
Jesus didn't qualify as an animal sacrifice on numerous levels.
(1) According to the Hebrew Scriptures, sacrificial death could only occur through the shedding of blood exclusively (Leviticus 17:11).
(2) Also, the only animals permitted for sacrificial purposes are those that have split hooves and chew their cud. The carcass of an unclean animal defiles (Leviticus 11:26). On these grounds alone, human beings are disqualified for sacrificial purposes. Jesus, as a human being, was unfit for sacrificial purposes.
(3) An animal blood atonement offering must be physically unblemished (Leviticus 22:18- 25). According to the evangelists, Jesus was physically abused prior to his execution (Matthew 27:26, Mark 15:15, John 19:1; John 20:25; Matthew 27:29, Mark 15:17, John 19:2). According to Paul, Jesus' circumcision constituted "mutilation" (Philippians 3:2) and is likened to "castration" (Galatians 5:12). As a result, Jesus would again be disqualified as a valid sacrifice.
(thanks to www.JewsforJudaism.org for this concise list)
--------------------------------------
In the future, please try to LEARN about that which you do not understand, rather than ranting. Ranting only shows your own ignorance. It does not show your faith. Jesus, if he lived as portrayed in the New Testament, was Jewish. This post of your condemned his faith.. is that what you meant to do?
Jews don't believe in the "one way/narrow path" thing. We know our faith is right for us, but do not suggest that it is right for ALL. We just want that which others want: the right to live and practice our faith in peace. Why is that too much to ask?
*******************************
P.S. WmbJesusFreak, you meant well, but Christianity is NOT a branch of Judaism, but a separate religion in and of itself. G-d has always been open to the gentiles; if they feel drawn to the G-d or Abraham, they can always look to Him/Her (G-d has no gender, remember), or they can go through the conversion process to Judaism.
Jesus didn't fulfill the laws of Hashem (G-d). This "fulfillment of the law" is what is called "Christian interpretation of Hebrew Scriptures." Our laws cannot be "fulfilled." This is like saying, if I follow the speed limit ONCE, I never have to do it ever again, which, as we know, is NOT the case! As I noted, the Jewish covenant with G-d is eternal, and thus, the laws given to Jews by G-d are also eternal.
As for animal sacrifices not taking away sin forever, they were never intended to do so; as I noted, they were for specific sins, or specific times in the calendar, but never for ALL sins. G-d knows his children and does not expect perfection. All G-d asks is that we try to learn from our mistakes, and strive to follow the commandments.
As for that "Judai'ical Christians" thing.. please... the proper name for people who love Jesus, as the Messiah (and/or as G-d), is "Christians." From the Jewish perspective, Jesus was neither the messiah, nor G-d. Your beliefs say otherwise and, if they bring you spiritual joy, that is wonderful, but please don't try to attach them to Judaism, because Christianity isn't Judaism, not even close! There are far greater differences between our two faiths than the "was he or wasn't he?" issue.
G-d be with you, too!

Judaism, has many sects, the christian faith is one of them. Jesus was,and always will be a jew. The Jews are God's chosen people. The sect of Judaism that opened the door for the Gentiles ( anyone who is not a Jew ), as well as the Jews is known as the Christian Faith.
Jesus is the fulfillment of the law. The old covenant was to teach man that it is impossable for man to please a Holy God. All through the old Testament, the Prophets, being inspired by God, spoke of the day that anamial sacrifice would cease. The blood of goats and lambs could not take away sin for ever. Only God, in the person of Jesus Christ, was Holy enought to be the substitute for all of mankinds sin. God Himself came down out of Heaven and paid the price once, and for all.
The proper name for people who love Jesus, the Messiah, is Juda'ical Christians.
If you will study the Bible with the help of the Holy Spirit, you will change your views about true christians. Notice I said true christians, everyone who says I am a christian, is not, you will know the true christian by his fruit. Every tree gives forth fruit, the good tree gives forth good fruit, the bad tree gives forth bad fruit. Judge the christian by his fruits, whether they be good or bad.
God be with you

Are you clear about why you want to tell her? I'm assuming you don't live with her, since no Orthodox rabbi would be willing to convert you unless you can keep a kosher house, and the same would be true for most non-Orthodox rabbis also. So - what would be your purpose in telling her? Is it that you feel you should tell her everything? Do you tell her about your sex life? I'm not trying to be rude or silly here - I really do think you should examine whether your conversion falls into the 'of course I'll tell her' or the 'of course I wouldn't talk to her about that' group of things. Of course, if you are converting Orthodox, you will be keeping shabbat strictly - so a lot of excuses to be made about not seeing her on Friday nights and during Saturday; and keeping kosher too, so it will be difficult for you ever to eat at her house or to go out to restaurants with her. I converted Reform (UK version, more like US Conservative) and chose not to tell my atheist parents as they are atheists who, like your mother, hate any form of religion. It seemed crazy to upset them and I knew I could never help them understand why I was converting. But, as a Reform Jew who hadn't eaten meat for years anyway, it was relatively easy to simply keep my Jewish life separate, and I live a long way from them. If you are in a different situation, you may need to find a way to tell her. If that's the case, there really isn't any way except to tell her directly. I'd say something like "I know this is going to upset you, although that's not my intention. I've always respected your view on life and morality and still do - but I've decided to do something you may find incomprehensible and I want you to understand first-off that it is in NO way a criticism of how you approach life. It's just that for me I have found something meaningful in a religion and want to be part of it. No, not Christianity [I'm guessing she is thoroughly anti-Christianity, but may know much less about Judaism], but Judaism. OK, ask me what you want - I will try to answer!" And I'd try to be clear with her that Judaism doesn't do that punitive stuff about hell, isn't obsessed with sexual morality above all else, and is very focussed on leading a good life for the benefit of all.

I like the Jews. They did have the right way and God has not forgotten about them. He's coming back for them and then they will understand who He is. Until then, we can just be patient with them, and love them. We will all be together soon.
