(If "persecution" is a sign from God that you are the true religion as far as "persecution" goes nobody gets persecuted as badly as the Jewish faith.)

Jehovah's Witnesses are the spammers of the world.
The Watchtower is oppressive, demanding and controlling and when you get sick of it they kick you out by shunning.

Why would anyone want to belong to this cult? Many are 'born in' and when the kids become of age they leave and get shunned by their parents.
The whole religion stinks, make sure you do your research on them and if you want to leave, know this.... there is life after the JW's.
Debunking the Jehovah's Witnesses beliefs:

A) They are at your door to recruit you for enslavement to their watchtower corporation, they will say that "were just here to share a message from the Bible" this is deception right off.

B) The 'message' is their false Gospel that Jesus is ruling in heaven already since 1914.The problem with this is it's not just a cute fairy tale,Jesus warned of the false prophets who would claim "..look he is here in the wilderness,or see here he is at the temple"

C) Their anti-blood transfusion ban has killed hundreds if not thousands

D) once they recruit you they will "love bomb" you in cult fashion to also recruit your family & friends or cut them off.
There are many more dangers,Jehovah's Witnesses got a bad rap for good and valid reasons.
You want your way to do as you please you think you are the one true religion and smear everybody else as hate mongers.
Whenever they are held accountable for their misdeeds they cry religious 'persecution'.

Why do people assume that disagreeing with the tenets of a particular sect and, yes, sometimes being unkind about it, equals "hate"? I'm afraid we're throwing that word around so loosely that it will soon have a very diluted meaning, if it doesn't already.

JWs, in general, are perceived as an isolationist, exclusivist, rigid and humorless bunch with some odd beliefs, judgmental even of their own and suspicious of anything that doesn't come directly from the WBTS. That, plus some are very offended by their practice of going door-to-door. Please note that I said IN GENERAL.

Like you, I have met many very nice people who are JWs and none of them has ever caused me any grief. In pointing out the above I was attempting to answer your question as honestly as possible, as far as why JWs seem to be disliked. As far as whether the perceptions are accurate, well, they may be -- or they may not.

We don't know them. But we probably won't when they come knocking on out door.

Read some of your other Q&A's. I don't think you portray with a true Jehovah's Witness is. In one question you say you have friends that are JW's and in another you say you are a JW. So, which is it.

Thanks for the good comment that you gave us. Some people dislike us maybe because they don't want to hear a good news that we have..Those reaction of many people to us is natural to JW infact we learned that if you accept the truth about Jehovah many people will hate us. That's what happened to jesus. Thanks! Just continue going with your JW's friends..have a good day!

Look up all of these scriptures in your own copy of the Bible, and you'll understand why:
John 15:18-20; Matthew 10:22--Jesus was hated during his time, and he foretold that his followers would experience such opposition.
1 Peter 4:1,4,12,13--The world today is not a very good place--people do not like others who adhere to righteous principles.
2 Corinthians 4:4; 1 Peter 5:8-- Satan, the god of this system, opposes God's Kingdom (hence, he does not like God's followers).
Romans 8:38,38; James 4:8

Many also do not understand why we go door-to-door (adhering to Jesus's commissions at Matthew 24:14 and 28:19,20.
Don't let it get to you.

I don't dislike them. In fact two of my family members are JW's. What I have a problem with and believe most people have the problem with is the door to door solicitation. I would have a problem with girl scouts coming to my door 3 times a week trying to sell me candy if I had already told the 50 times i wasn't interested.

I'm sure individually people who are JW's are nice, the religions stupid specification that they have to intrude on peoples lives by door-knocking to yack about their beliefs is what most people hate.

Nothing annoys me more than when I'm having a sleep-in on the weekend, and the local JW's come door knocking with their stupid little magazines and bits of scripture, when it's stupidly early. Plus they don't seem to take a hint. I've told them every time they turn up I am in no way shape or form interested in their crap, but they just don't seem to take no for an answer.

Perhaps there could be some kind of "do not door knock" register. You sign up, and religious nutters know not to call at your house, and if they do, they get fined. They are trialing a similar thing in Australia in regards to telemarketing they have a "do not call" register, and if you sign up, and a telemarketing company calls, they get fined.

The moral of my slightly tangential rant is perhaps people would like them more as a collective religion if they weren't so intrusive, and actually respected others wishes to not be subjected to their religious propaganda.

I am not one of Jehovah's Witnesses, but that does not prevent me from having the greatest respect for the members of their faith. I met several Witnesses during my incarceration in Gross Rosen and Buchenwald concentration camps. Their behavior was so exemplary and their religious convictions so outstanding that they gained the respect and the admiration of all the other inmates. Even the SS were impressed by them. Jehovah's Witnesses will always be welcome at my house. Said P. V., United States
