Actually, that would be they're, not their. Some get algebra and some get English usage, right? And some people are so rude and ignorant they shouldn't be allowed to breed. Would you mind posting your military service record? At age 62, I'm old enough to appreciate how bright this generation of young people are. Please don't judge all teenagers by those in your family. My grandchildren are brilliant and share so much with me, especially when it comes to electronics. As to teens questioning the existence of God, that's something most of us have had to think through at some time in our lives. Many of us have found God through questioning and searching and that won't be any different for this generation of young people. Personally, I threw out all that had been shoved down my throat as a child and found my own way to God. I'd be surprised if that has changed for any generation and I for one do care what they think. They are the future of our country and you owe them an apology.

And I suppose this grammatically incorect rant is suppose to proove the adult mind is more advanced than a teenager's? It is true some don't know what they are talking about but that would mean your words would have to go to all age groups not just teenagers. I could do a simple algebraic problem in the second grade, but math is not a definition of one's intelligence all must be taken into account. In a board such as this a person's social intelligence is tested not mathematical.

This questioner opens with an incomplete sentence which contains a grammatical error and a misspelling. The second sentence contains a grammatical error ("you all" is incorrect, the plural form of "you" is "you" in this case). The third sentence contains a capitalization error. The fourth sentence contains a really glaring one ("from future taxpayers from") returns to "you all" and is also a run on. Finally the questioner closes his piece with a missing period.
Good content, interesting opinion but thesis is invalidated by poor style- Grade: C-

Lol. I'm sorry to say but knowledge is not spread equaly amoung all fields. Like i heard the Dalai Llama can do advance physics, but can only do basic arthmatic (subtract, add, divide, and multiply). So what does algebra have to do with God? lol. And now to the question in your title, because of fear. People fear what others might think if they don't know the answer, and so they play like they do know. Also it could be because they are arrogant, and think they really do :P Like my dad, lol, he is ALWAYS criticizing peopel on American Idol and So you Think You Can Dance, even though he himself has NO music or dancing experience.

I think stereotyping greatly adds to the 'dumbing down' of Answers. You can't take all teenagers, throw them in a box and label them as all being the same.

You sound like a person who is very angry and bitter about life. You probably have a lot of targets - with teenagers just being one of them.

You think teenagers are the problem, but it's angry, bitter people such as yourself who are a real problem. Stop pointing your finger at teenagers and fix yourself first.

I beleive in God, but I'm a teenager, so I can't take your side right now. Sry, but there is one problem w/ your accusation: teenagers have opinions. I agree that it is dumb that people who don't know science claim science is everything, but that doesn't only include teenagers.
In religion, I can outsmart my uncle and dad, and I bet fiveyear olds, with their innoscence, lack of prejudice, and compassion, could outsmart us all. I'm a teen, a former pharisee of the Church (sry, former "conservative" [I don't know if I spelled that right]), and huge on the idea of love. Plz, don't judge.

Thier instead of they're, suggests you are one of extremely low intellect. Your grammar is atrocious. If you ever do have to use the word their, remember that it is spelled "ei", not "ie".

If you think there is a God because you were brainwashed by your parents, you are a total non-thinker. I would rather hear from a learning teenager, than a person like you who is stuck in his own garbage.

By the way, I am probably older than you, but I could not agree with you less.

I'm 43, have a degree in Rocket Science (actually, a BAE), my IQ is in the 99th percentile, and I know both squat and Jack Schitt--and I'm telling you there's no God. Those of you who assert the existence of a deity without a scrap of real empirical evidence are dumbing down Yahoo Answers.

Why does everyone have to grow up and be like this man? I always thought I knew everything. I always thought there was something unique about me, and that I would go on to do great things.

I'm 17 and I still believe that, while everyone else is jsut accepting the fact that their ordinary, and giving up their dreams of being the leaders of huge corporations, astronauts, oceanic biographers, and just settling for electritians, admitting they plan on college, saying a Nurse is a fine job and thats what they wanna pursue.

**** you all,'

You gave up on your dreams.

And being a "nurse" is ****. My sister is one and they dont get paid as much as you wold think. Have the guts to do what it takes to go through medical school and become a docter at least.

ARHH

I am not going to be like this man.

NEVER!

Jesus said - out of the mouth of babes. Friend we should really work on our charity/love/compassion feelings for a while and thank god that people are understanding when we say something or make unfriendly remarks. AMEN!
