why was Jesus born in Galilee, Nazareth?

John 7 41-43
41Others said, "He is the Christ."

Still others asked, "How can the Christ come from Galilee? 42Does not the Scripture say that the Christ will come from David's family[a] and from Bethlehem, the town where David lived?" 43Thus the people were divided because of Jesus.

how much do those same teachings help you to discern between what is truth and what is unbiblical?

as a member of the lutheran church, i know plenty about tradition. for me, personally, traditional teachings have given me a firm foundation, but not much more, and still, i've had to discard some of those teachings, as i feel that a lot of church doctrines put limits on God. it has been very beneficial for me to study other doctrines, and to ''chew the hay and spit out the sticks.''

however, it's not the same for us all. i'd like to hear from everyone here- state your particular denomination (or lack thereof), as i am convinced that denominational teachings make a big difference in our opinions on this matter (catholics will most likely exalt tradition, while charismatics will most likely denounce it). for instance, i go to a lutheran church, and i'm a confirmed member, but i consider myself to be non-sectarian/ non-denominational, and i have already stated the reason for that.

Science has recently learned it causes a lot of problems for us.

And religiously didn't this start when God cast Adam and Eve out of the light of God and into the light of the sun?

Christians always say that we choose to go to hell because God gave us free will. But if God is omniscient, and knows exactly what we're going to do before we do it, then it never really was a choice in the first place. God created hell and then created billions of people knowing exactly who was going to hell and who was going to heaven. If God created someone knowing before they were even created that they were just going to go to hell, why would he create them in the first place? Wouldn't creating someone just to send them to hell be, by definition, sadistic? When you consider this, is hell really a choice? If we are all just part of the creation of an all knowing God, and we are just doing what he knew before we were created that we were going to do, then we never really had free will in the first place.

What about the unfortunate women who are raped? They are punished enough knowing that they carry the child of a rapist. They have been violated, then have to face the horrific desision of letting the child live, and be stared in the face everyday by the child of a rapist, or do they abort it and feel guilty for the rest of their lives?

THIS DREAM> It's was like a painting. but slowly moving.
I saw a dark sky with some orange and red clouds. As I looked down I saw three figures standing on what appreared to be small cliffs. just below that I saw people fighting with swords. I was also fighting with a sword and a shield. I heard my name being called and I Looked up because it seemed like it came from above.
When I looked around, I was surrounded by light. It seemed to light up the ground and people around me. Then I defended myself with my sword and my shield, as three warriors attacked at the same time. Then I heard my name called again, twice. I was on one knee holding my shield high deflecting a blow from one of the three. Then I heard my name called again and I woke.
This dream is happening more frequently. I am having difficulty falling asleep after as I try to figure out what's going on. I vibrate after I wake up and as it slows down, I thimk I fall asleep. I Dont feel like there nightmares.

The Holy Bible gives the cause of this cancer and blight: " Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four footed beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet. Romans 1:22-27

I have been in the ministry for 30 plus years, so I am asking this as a Christian Pastor, Shepard, Leader, Counsel, what ever title you choose to use.

I Know I am going to catch flak for this but: Some of the questions on here “outline” like they are sincere. Then when you click to them, the question is really a nasty sexual question or remark.

Most of the time, the answers are just as nasty and sinful as the questions.

Now as a Christian and Pastor I really don’t care how non-Christians answer, but as a Christian and a Pastor it is my job and duty to call people who use the title of “Christian” to account.

1 Corinthians 5:9-13 (NLT)
9 When I wrote to you before, I told you not to associate with people who indulge in sexual sin. 10 But I wasn’t talking about unbelievers who indulge in sexual sin, or who are greedy or are swindlers or idol worshipers. You would have to leave this world to avoid people like that. 11 What I meant was that you are not to associate with anyone who claims to be a Christian yet indulges in sexual sin, or is greedy, or worships idols, or is abusive, or a drunkard, or a swindler. Don’t even eat with such people. 12 It isn’t my responsibility to judge outsiders, but it certainly is your job to judge those inside the church who are sinning in these ways. 13 God will judge those on the outside; but as the Scriptures say, “You must remove the evil person from among you.”

I look at the profiles of the people who answer those nasty questions or remarks and the profiles say things like “I’m a Pastor” or “I am the leader of a Christian Prayer group” or “I am a true Christian serving God”

THE QUESTION I AM ASKING is this:

1. Do you really believe you are being like Christ when you make your nasty little funnies? (or)
2. Do you think it is ok because you believe once saved always saved?

In other words, what in the world makes you think it is ok for a Christian to behave this way?
