Does Mary, the mother of Jesus, play a role in the salvation of mankind?:
These are taken out of the Catechism ot the Catholic church
"Taken up to heaven she (Mary) did not lay aside this saving office but by her manifold intercession continues to bring us the gifts of eternal salvation..." Pg. 252, #969
"Being obedient she (Mary) became the cause of salvation for herself and for the whole human race." Pg. 125, #494

Is this doctrine scriptural? According to God's Word, Mary has never had anything to do with the salvation process. Scripture reveals that Jesus is the ONLY One who can provide salvation:

"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." Acts 4:12

I'm asking this because termites eat wood, and Noah's boat was supposedly made of wood. So wouldn't the termites eat Noah's boat?

Seriously, I'm so sick of hearing about it. Go up to heaven with Jesus already! We really won't mind. I think we'll get along quite well without self-righteous religious fanatics.
As for this Anti-Christ person, what makes you think we're just all going to automatically listen to him? We don't listen to you do we? Just because you say 'everyone who gets left behind will obey the Anti-Christ' doesn't make it a fact. Maybe we won't like his stance on healthcare or the minimum wage. Do you think we're just going to throw out democracy because all of you left? Hell, we'd probably have a stronger democracy for awhile at least, because the system wouldn't be overrun with religious zealots with a political agenda.

I went past a church the other day that had this sign...

TGIF
Thank God I'm forgiven....are you?

As a Christian, I'm not really comfortable with something that sounds like bragging in terms of forgiveness, but I want to know your opinion?

Would you attend a church with that type of a sign in front of it?

I disrespect and reject the Christian God and refuse to
worship "Him" for the same reason that I despise Vlad
Tepes (aka Count Dracula) and would refuse to worship
him.
Both are TORTURERS. (And don't say "God" isn't a torturer
and is "not to blame for "Hell" - HE CREATED "HELL"!
HOW CAN YOU GET MORE CULPABLE THAN THAT?)
SO - in WHAT way, will I find being tortured unto all infinity,
for refusing to kiss a torturer's a**, JUST? Will "God" have
to make me insane first perhaps, so I can affirm an
insane idea of "justice"?

Sometimes people post questions asking atheists why we're happy with death being the end.

Accepting something is different to being happy about it.

I know some atheists are happy in the knowledge that this life is all we have. Personally, I'd love to live forever in one way or another, but that's not going to make it so.

Commonsense tells me that death is the end.

Why live in denial of reality?

Isn't it better to make the most of what little time we have?

of some type. She bought it at Williamsburg, VA. in the area where they tell about the witch trials. She told me about the store and showed me a shirt and a quill w/ink that she bought (for a friend!) but she hid this item from me. I found it later. It is a small pink bag with lavendar, a pink polished stone, and a dried flower bud (possibly poppy). I had asked her earlier if she had bought anything else at the store and she said no. I told her it bothered me that she wanted to give these items to anyone that she cared about. Because she hid this one item from me, I made her throw it away. Any thoughts from anyone? The shirt lists the names of those who were named as witches and killed.
