Esther -- There are certain subjects that are taboo these days (especially on Yaoo) if I mention it here I might get this post deleted as well.

The Bible clearly states what is Sin in God's eyes.
The Bible clearly states what the responsibility of the Christian is towards the sinner.

So...

Tolerance is pivotal, yet everyone deserves a fair warning of what the person of faith is warning.
I have come to this conclusion: many are warning in error, yet that is up to each person as a hearer to weed out the truth from the lie.
Each of us is responsible for our decisions, and each will stand or fall solely on this basis. As for those who like to spend their time trying to tell others what their eternal fate may be? I think that perhaps they might be putting themselves upon the judgment throne where, perhaps, they do not belong.
From perusing some of the other answers, I think maybe that my view of tolerance, must be different than other's views. To me tolerance is that we understand that everyone has the right to their decisions, and it is not up to me to dictate to others what conduct is or is not acceptable to God. Although I believe I know what conduct is and is not acceptable to God, I have found that trying to dogmatically force my views (Bible guided as they may be) upon others is outside of the teaching methods that out master Jesus exemplified. He never forced anyone to listen to him. People wanted to listen to him because he did not lord over his listeners a message of terror, but rather a message that was at once refreshing and filled with hope. I do not see a message of hope by pursuing the tactic of telling people they will burn in hell for not agreeing with me.

Tolerance ,where it ends and warning begins.Who's tolerance? We live what we believe if we`re Christians, but remember everyone doesn`t always believe the same things. We have a strick guide line of what`s right and wrong,The Ten commandments,But there are other things that certain folks deem sin and others don`t.So to answer your question we need to live the best we can and let others do the same.We aren`t anothers judge ,that`s in the hands of God.If your asked for an opinion then give a truthful one.If you think someone is heading towards hell then pray for them.Tolerence should never end.

i will't talk for all of Jehovah's witnesses.and that i will say they're misinformed approximately many stuff no longer in basic terms the Trinity. The observe Trinity mearly skill 3 in solidarity.properly particular there have been Pagan religions that worshiped Trinity's of Gods yet besides the actuality that that's real they did no longer call them trinity's to my knoweldge.(i'm open to evidence of my errors if i'm incorrect)yet whether they did if we are actually not worshiping those fake God's as Christians and we are believing interior the father the Son and the Holy Spirit do no longer even Jehovah's witnesses believe in them?Or do they simply believe in Jehovah? because of the fact there actual are 3 and that they are in solidarity are not they? I additionally believe that no person might desire to mock anothers concept .there are techniques of placing out peoples hearts and minds different then down perfect rudeness.i comprehend that Jesus talked approximately as the religous elments of His day Hypocrites yet none of Jehovah's Witnesses are Jesus and none carry His athority.once you examine the bible you do no longer locate the apostles conversing the way the witnesses do to those that have been even Godless Pagans .They have been sort an gentel even Jesus set that occasion.you could no longer mock what human beings believe and than assume them to grin and say that's advantageous in simple terms step on my heart. You gain what you sow .in case you sow rivalry and devision and hatred then you somewhat won't be able to cry while your crop is packed with rivalry, devision and hatred.Sow love and gentelness and kindness and then your crop would be packed with reliable issues. For the checklist I actual have been a Christian for many some years and my God does not have 3 heads and all my acquaintances who love God and His Son may well be appauled that somebody might even entertain this sort of theory approximately what they think.

As far as “tolerance” is concerned, I tend to give dry, factual answers to specific questions. If someone asks if a certain activity is a sin, I simply say yes, and give specific references. No name calling (not necessary), and little, if any, emotion. If some asks my opinion as to whether or not they are going to Hell, I simply give an objective answer according to the Bible, if that is what they asked for.

If they asked a question in a sarcastic, or disrespectful tone, then they cannot rightfully complain if I am a little sarcastic back – but I should never stoop to the same level as them. I am to set the example. It helps keep you from losing your cool if you simply avoid answering obviously silly questions being asked by a troll. Avoid the obviously "baiting" questions (Titus 3:9)

If people asked a question, then they cannot complain if you simply give them an honest answer. I rarely get reported for simply disagreeing with someone. People usually report you only if you go way off subject, or if you get angry and juvenile. The particular subject seems to have nothing to do with it.

I never got deleted, or reported, for talking frankly about the sin of homosexuality, for example, if that is what you are afraid of.

Of course, if you are afraid of being deleted, then set up a separate account that you don’t really care about, and use that one to answer questions. Being deleted seems to be a small sacrifice to pay in order to take a stand for the truth.

--------------------------------
Ephesians 4:29 (NIV)
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

And the Lord's servant must not quarrel; instead, he must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. Those who oppose him he must gently instruct, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will.
~2 Timothy 2:24-26 (NIV)

But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless.
~Titus 3:0 (NIV)

Tolerance has no place in the Xtian philosophy. Check your own playbook.

What a good question! It fits the sermon that our Pastor delivered today.
I think it goes back to the old adage "hate the sin, but love the sinner". I hope and pray that the Lord would give us adequate words to warn of His judgement but also words to tell of His love and mercy.

We are told to preach repentance and baptism to the world. There are many ways to do this. If a society is so wicked that the only way to preach this is standing on a corner and yelling at people...things have gotten pretty bad. Most of the time, we should lead by example and teach those who wish to learn. My opinion of course.

For catholics, tolerance is for people not for their sins. And there is no judgment of God either.

People go to hell because they choose to go there, more or less aware of what they do. That is judgment of God for us.

That means that is catholics are self-obligated to be tolerant with people in order to have coherence with their own belief, they also can not say that thing is good if they believe that thing are wrong in order to be coherent with their belief.

We must help people even gays, murderers and other people who we consider sinners, if they need food, shelter, a bath or whatever, as long as we do not help them directly to be more sinners.

But that does not mean that we say that thing you do is good if it is a sin, because we believe that sins harm the people who commit them.

Sins are not simply insults against God, people harm themselves when they commit sin, for us, that is.

Tolerance doesn't have to end even to warn about Jesus coming again... although my tolerance is lower for Christians who should know better than a non-Christian - I know this is bad as Jesus is very big on unity of Christians....

I don't see the point in jumping up and down, warning about the judgement of God, that is God's cake... not mine... mine is to Go in to all the world and preach the Good News of Jesus Christ - not make people feel bad about themselves because they fall short of God's glory, we all fall short of God's glory (romans 3:23...)

I think the best way to do it (evangelise) is to introduce them to your best mate Jesus Christ - not fix them so they are 'holy' enough to meet your best mate...

Does that make sense?
