The bible says: few will find the right path.
Many will find the way that leads to destruction.
The Narrow Way

13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because[a] narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

Sura 8:12

"I am with you; so support those who believed. I will strike terror into the hearts of those who disbelieved. You may strike them above the necks, and you may strike even every finger."

Sura (2:216) - Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not.

Sura (3:151) - Soon shall We cast terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers, for that they joined companions with Allah, for which He had sent no authority.

9:5 Then, when the sacred months have passed, slay the non-believers wherever ye find them, and take them (captive), and besiege them, and prepare for them each ambush.

Surah II: 98 – “Allah is the enemy of the unbelievers.”

Surah II: 191-193 – “Kill them [unbelievers] wherever you find them….Fight with them until there is no persecution, and religion should be only for Allah.”

Surah II: 216 – “Fighting is enjoined on you, and it is an object of dislike to you; and it may be that you dislike a thing while it is good for you, and it may be that you love a thing while it is evil for you, and Allah knows, while you do not know.”

Surah III: 19 – “Surely the true religion with Allah is Islam…and whoever disbelieves in the communications of Allah then surely Allah is quick in reckoning.”

Surah IV: 104 – “Be not weak in pursuit of the enemy.”

Surah V: 51 – “O you who believe! Do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whosoever among you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people.”

Surah VIII: 12 – “I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them.”

Surah VIII: 15-17 – “O you who believe! When you meet those who disbelieve marching for war, turn not your backs to them. Whoever shall turn his back to them on that day – unless he turn aside for the sake of fighting or withdraws to a company – then he, indeed, becomes deserving of Allah’s wrath, and his abode is hell… So you did not slay them, but it was Allah who slew them…that He might confer upon the believers a good gift from Himself; surely Allah is Hearing, Knowing.”

Surah IX: 29 – “Fight those who do not believe in Allah, nor in the latter day, nor do they prohibit what Allah and His Apostle have prohibited, nor follow the religion of truth… until they pay the tax in acknowledgment of superiority and they are in a state of subjection.”

Surah IX:33 – “[Allah] it is who sent His Apostle with guidance and the religion of truth, that He might cause it to prevail over all religions, though polytheists may be averse.”

"Milly_1963" commented: "Those who continue to use the board will become obsessed or possessed. ... To dispose of a Ouija properly, you simply cut it into SEVEN pieces and bury it in the ground. This sets the spirits in your board free. DO NOT burn it. The spirits contained with-in will haunt you for the rest of your life."

Are YOU, readers, as amazed as I am that such supertitious views and hokum could still be held within any civilized country in the 21st century? We should have completely outgrown such absurd thinking along with some people's previous irrational fear of black cats.

Ouija is merely an enjoyable game. That's all that it's ever been, and all that it ever will be. Nothing more and nothing less.

People claiming to be "Christians" doing such whining are unfairly making laughingstocks of normal and rational Christians. (94% of American Christians are of the "normal and rational" variety, and are quite sensible people.)

Many believe God to beThree SEPERATE persons but the truth is, God is One God MANIFESTED IN THREE WAYS not three persons, "Father in Creation, Son in Redemption and Holy Spirit in Regeneration".

Their is only One God who is our Father, Paul also points this out (1 Cor 8:6), This one God is known as the Father (Not Father, Son and Holy Ghost). This one God has a Holy Spirit and it is also God but its that same God who is the Father. This one God who is our Father manifested himself in Flesh (1 Tim 3: 16), it was not a second person of the Godhead that manifested himself, it was God IN GENERAL. This is why Jesus said "The Father is in me" (John 14: 10) "when you see me you see my Father also" (John 12: 45) I and my Father are One (John 10: 30)

Jesus is God because God is in him (2 Cor 5: 19) "not God the Son but God IN GENERAL.

Jesus and Paul claimed that the Father is the ONLY God (John 17: 3, 1 Cor 8: 6).

What about the Holy Spirit and Jesus?

does not this type of flaw in the Learn-ed men of society, prove how corrupt psyhachiatry is when it comes to religious men of honor, faith, and righteousness?

I ask this question because i watched the tv series "the dead-zone" and in it, the main character was automatically presumed to have a mental illness called schyzophrenia.

by such standards, then every prophet in all religious texts and books are ALL Mentally insane. tell such a lie big enough and most people will believe it. and denial is its own symptom. Yet, it is a hundred percent true, that all Innocent people will deny their guilt.

Personally, I don't believe in organized religion. I read my bible, pray, and try to be a good Christian. I think growing up Catholic and then searching for salvation & grace in a Methodist Church, Episcopal Church, Lutheran Church and Baptist Church over several years left a bad (specifically: hypocritical) taste in my mouth. What's your excuse?

It seems as though a lot of atheists here just practice hedonism. I'm sure many will disagree :) Many atheists do good things, but proportianally I wonder whether they would go out on a limb to save someone else's life besides that of a friend or family member...

Would an atheist sacrifice themselves to save a complete stranger if they were in dire need? Feel free to chime in :)

I don't think they would, they would most likely be to concerned about themselves...

Sorry correct me if you feel I'm wrong! God the creator is the one you should worship! You should believe Jesus died to save you, but you should only worship God Jesus's Father and our Father!

(1)Consciousness is basically a fluke of evolution that came into being at some point in the evolution of life on Earth when some organism evolved the ability to be "aware" and thereby gained distinct survival advantages.

(2) Consciousness is such an utterly amazing phenomenon ( the universe becoming 'aware' of itself) that it is almost inconceiveable that it is just a fluke of evolution. If not for this 'fluke' would the entire drama of the universe have been played out before empty benches? More likely Consciousness is woven into the fabric of the universe itself in some fundamental way.

I personally have my own idea already. I know some will say, both religious and atheists, that humanity is kind and generous. Others will say that we are a crazy one of a kind species bent on our own destruction.

It is my view that the defining characteristic of humanity is HOPELESSNESS! There are a good deal of people that are good. Yet, even taking religion into account, it seems that humanity has always plagued itself with turmoil. Empires have been created and fallen well before Judeao-Christian religions ever sprang up.

Atheists believe that non-belief in a particular religion or entity will make us better, but they are just as foolish as holy-rollers in this view!

Humanity wants to be good but enjoys taking the easy way out and just likes doing what they want just a little more than doing what's right. Eventually we are always our own undoing, with god or without, anyone who thinks this is wrong is foolish.

Anyway, this is just my oponion, but what about yours?

I'm asking this question, because I find in all the Bible preceeding Jesus very little about the here-after.

Jesus says a lot about eternal life, but where did he get his ideas?

The Bible god didn't say much if anything about heaven as a place of reward for good people. And where did the Bible god even say there is life after death?

So I'm wondering where Jesus got his ideas. Replies from Bible scholars and others appreciated.

Judaism, Christianity, and Islam: all religions that just keep giving. Giving violence, hysterical logic, and hostility. The judgemental and unaccepting qualities of these religions make me wonder why far eastern, African, or some other religions don't appeal to people who don't believe in Santa. The people aren't bad, but the religions sicken me.
