"Milly_1963" commented: "Those who continue to use the board will become obsessed or possessed. ... To dispose of a Ouija properly, you simply cut it into SEVEN pieces and bury it in the ground. This sets the spirits in your board free. DO NOT burn it. The spirits contained with-in will haunt you for the rest of your life."

Are YOU, readers, as amazed as I am that such supertitious views and hokum could still be held within any civilized country in the 21st century? We should have completely outgrown such absurd thinking along with some people's previous irrational fear of black cats.

Ouija is merely an enjoyable game. That's all that it's ever been, and all that it ever will be. Nothing more and nothing less.

People claiming to be "Christians" doing such whining are unfairly making laughingstocks of normal and rational Christians. (94% of American Christians are of the "normal and rational" variety, and are quite sensible people.)

To "Katrina G" -- If you'd looked into that a bit farther, you might find that it was a small cross made of dry metallic sodium. That'll do it every time! And not just to Ouija Boards.

To "Dvant" -- so you're gonna denounce the board because it made an ACCURATE prediction, and ACCURATELY answered a question? Would you prefer that it lied to you, instead? <>

To "Channiek" and "Lady Love" -- Welcome to the world of the superstitious. (Don't walk under any ladders!) (LOL!!)

Additional comment to "DVANT" -- Too bad that situation you described was probably nothing more than an amazing coincidence. Because if Ouija Boards really provided such accurante answers to questions (especially predictive ones!) with consistency, I'd be playing Ouija a LOT!! (Let's see now... "what will that stock be closing at tomorrow?" "What will the next 'Powerball' jackpot combination be?" ...)

To "DVANT" -- You believe that "demons from the board" CAUSED the car crash that happened in the future? I think you give **'WAY** too much credit to so-called "demons." Because if demons COULD interact to that degree with people, then they surely would be doing damage of FAR greater magnitude, and a very regular basis. Such as ensuring that the bomb in London had gone off, for example. I regard demons to be characters of fiction, and nothing more in the Bible than analogues to mental imbalances.

To "DVANT" -- "Nice try," my foot. You have an interesting view of how demons might operate, but the bottom line really comes down to whether demons even EXIST. When Jesus "cast out demons," there's no reason to think that he did anything other than to (in His omnipotence) cure the delusions of people having mental problems.

To "DVANT" -- Having life experiences that have led you to think that demons are real is still no proof that they are. As for 94% of America's professing Christians NOT being lemmings of the RRR Cult... that has been consistently demonstrated to be the case by many reputable sources. I plan soon to put up a question that cites some of those. UNfortunately for America, those who comprise the RRR Cult, while small in numbers percentagewise, have had JUST enough political clout to sway some cliffhanger elections. Which were VERY lousy breaks for America!

To "Mairzydoatz" -- You are entitled to your opinion, which most people (myself included) would regard to be totally ludicrous. So your "warning" (LOL!!!) is hereby and categorically rejected.

I believe it is. Me, my friend, and his friend was playin the "game" and we were just askin stupid question like "does so n so like me" etc. And my friend's friend asked when he was going to die and how. The board reply you will die on your 18th birthday in a car crash. Like the board said he died, November 24, 1997. On his 18th b-day in a car crash. He suffered from a broke neck and stop breathing.

Lady love you said it best!

"To "Dvant" -- so you're gonna denounce the board because it made an ACCURATE prediction, and ACCURATELY answered a question? Would you prefer that it lied to you, instead? <>"

No because I believe it has "powers" of evil. Demons to be exact. Not because it made an "accurate prediction". -which I believe it wasn't I believe the demons from the board "MADE" it happen.- Hell look at the terrorists they "MADE" the twin towers happen and "PREDICTED" they would threat the buildings and it happened does that make him "magical"? That slow thinking :)

Well it does and good for you I hope the best outcomes.

You are right they would. But God doesn't let that happen. He restricts The "fallen angels" powers to a minimum but at the same time Gods does let them "express" their evil doings, to the "unsaved" and people who opens the door for demons that is. And they wouldn't dare challenge Gods word he much more powerful than them. So they do what they can but it's not always that much. But nice try ^_^

Aha like eww

"You have an interesting view of how demons might operate, but the bottom line really comes down to whether demons even EXIST. When Jesus "cast out demons," there's no reason to think that he did anything other than to (in His omnipotence) cure the delusions of people having mental problems."

Again you are rite about me not knowing for sure if the demons exist but I had experiences in which told me other wise. So it's not a rite wrong thing but the viewpoint of the person. And how the person interput outcomes in life. Thats how we learn from "mistakes" and gain "experience". So it's not wrong for me to take that incident as a warning call. Which therefore makes me right and you wrong. ^_^

Why? Well because I had much more credibility (I look at all views and I had the experience of it), respect, I didn't use or base my agruement on stereotypes thats not true -94% of American Christians are of the "normal and rational" variety, and are quite sensible people(is this scientifically correct?), We should have completely outgrown such absurd thinking along with some people's previous irrational fear of black cats (how is it absurd?), People claiming to be "Christians" doing such whining are unfairly making laughingstocks (need I say more?) - and I looked at both sides of the agruement. Oh and you had retarded thinking and reasoning skill :)...

^_^ GOOD LUCK!

Not being superstitious nor holding much credence in Ouija, seances, paranormal phenomena in general -- and having a long time knowledge of Ouija boards and the like -- I agree that a board game marketed by a retail manufacturer holds little danger for the well developed psyche, after all it is just a 'game'.

However having seen first hand the results of what was called "conjuring" and "channeling" by those actively participating first hand I am left with a feeling that all we can normally sense is not the entirety of what's out there.

Matthew 12:45 (King James Version)

45 - Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

Surely at a functional level I'm just as "normal" and "rational" as you.

Well, I don't take THAT superstitious of a view regarding Ouija boards. However, many years ago, my parents and some friends were playing around with one. They asked it a question (the combination to the locker of a co-worker of my dad's), and it clicked out the number. And it was right.

I've had experiences with those type of things. Not Ouija boards, necessarily, but I have had contact with things that were not good. My parents' experience was tame compared to mine.

Edit: Not the answer some people wanted to hear, I guess. I wouldn't have an opinion on this sort of thing unless I had experienced it, though. So why would anyone thumbs-down someone else's experiences? That's just dumb.

Ouija boards can be dangerous as you are opening up to unseen forces, though you know not who you chat with. (Just like the Internet). If you want answers, pray, meditate, focus on the God within, stay in the light and you will receive the guidance you need.

May the darkness be illuminated with the love of our souls.

In our civilized country in the 21st century we still have homeless, starving people, people you rape, beat woman and kidnap children. People with little or no regard for their fellow human being. Yet, this reaction to the board surprises you?

And the most hilarious thing is that mages-people who do magic(k)- tend to realize they're just a parlour game for ignorant civilians.... heh, so even people who believe in other metaphys discount them...

Ouija IS dangerous. I've used them. Then again, I understand that they are not possessed of demons like Milly_1963 claimed.

Ouija opens the door to what I call the "Otherworld". The world of ghosts and spirits. You can't control what comes through that door.

Personally, I think its an alternate dimension but I can't prove that.
