The latter, by the numbers. But the former for a few questions and answers that demonstrate the dumbing down process has not taken over completely.

I have hope, but not optimism. That is, I count the odds rather long, but I don't give up.

Hmmm... shouldn't this be in polls and surveys :)

To be honest, I don't worry myself about it. The people who contribute to Yahoo Answers probably only number in the thousands, maybe even less than ten thousand. That's less than 0.1 % of the world's population. Add to that the fact that we are only seeing questions from People who speak (type) English so that's predominantly Americans, British and probably Australians, N.Z. and S.A.

Also I think that "netheads" are very unrepresentative of the people of Earth! don't sweat it.

Most questions are annoying attempts to preach one's own religious point of view.

There are some serious questions, but compared to the number of the others, not that many.

The human race is doomed, so what.

You make it sound bad. Can't you just be happy in the interim?

And don't put down people's questions, or we shall put yours down. I denounce you.

Pst: Yahoo Answers is Indexed by Google SE;
So whatever is said is for 'all the world' to see,
whether you're law law -or- a grace us person.

Prophecy vs Prophesy is as Gloom vs Groom.
Biblical Exhortation is: Prophesy Unto Men:
Edification-->Exhortation-->Unto Comfort;
Comfort void of any dis-comfort at all.

There is no dis-comfort in "the God of all comfort".
There is no darkness in "that God is light (only)".
There is no law law in "the God of all grace".
There is no dead end in "the end" written:

The grace(only) of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

I must add a third possibility - most questions make me poke myself in the eye.

There is the odd question that challenges me but when i see questions like this (submitted by Tejas Rules) I despair:

"My wife works at Dillards dept. store and they just got this Ayrab guy who is working with her, she is afraid?

she is afraid that he is trying to kill her cause he always looks at her in a weird way when he comes to work in the morning with his long beard. I told her if he tries anything that I will kick his camel ****. Why do they have to hire them ayrabs why caint they hire Americans damn it! "

This man is what is wrong with America today.
