Luke, Chapter 2:1-7 Birth
2:8-17 Presentation in Temple
Mt., Chapter 2:1-12 Visit of Wise Men**
Mt. Chapter 2:13-15 Flight to Egypt
Mt. Chapter 2:19-23 Return to Nazareth
** This visit did not take place at the birth of Christ as depicted in fanciful Christmas manger scenes. A better translation of the Bible would also help for your answers.

Jesus was born in Bethlehem just as the prophet Micah said.
Micah 5:2 But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah,
Though you are little among the thousands of Judah,
Yet out of you shall come forth to Me
The One to be Ruler in Israel,
Whose goings forth are from of old,
From everlasting.
However, Jesus and His family lived up north in Nazareth near the Sea of Galilee. Some people just assumed He was born there and didn't ask Him where He was born.

If you were born in New Jersey but moved to California when you were a little child, you would be called a Californian, speak with a California accent etc...
Read and study the Bible, Jesus was born in Bethlehem just as was prophesied. He lived in Galilee with Mary and Joseph and their family, so he spoke as a Galilean etc..
All of the Biblical prophecy that has been fulfilled to date has been 100% accurate.

See Jesus was born in Bethlehem and when the king wanted to kill the male babies His parents fled there.
You made the same mistake that the people of the time did. A main reason why they crucified Jesus. Most thought He was from Galilee and therefore He could not have been the Messiah. They did not know the truth.

Jesus was born in Bethlehem, but He moved to Galilee. Jesus fulfilled the Scripture. This warns us that Jesus could be fulfilling the scriptures right now without us even knowing it. Are you ready for His return?

It's called a retro-fit. You know, like when you are trying to make your messiah into *the* messiah, but you find out he was born in the wrong place. So you have to say, um, ah, he *was* born in Bethlehem...his parents were, uh, roaming the country temporarily. Sure, his virgin mother was pregnant at the time, but that's no big deal. The lived in Nazareth, traveled to Bethlehem to give birth and then moved back to Nazareth. So what if Joseph wasn't related to David. Even if he was he wasn't the father of Jesus. God was. So, see, it's simple--Jesus wasn't related to David per se, but he was born in Bethlehem on the one day his parents just happened to be wandering through there. But, wait, he wasn't related to David. What was I saying again?

Jesus was born in Bethlehem. TO fulfill the prophecy- Mary and Joseph traveled on a donkey to Bethlehem to "pay taxes" at the time that Jesus was born.- then they moved on and lived in Nazareth.

Jesus lived in Nazareth after his family came back from Eygpt, but he was born in Bethlehem. But when He was grown, most knew that he lived in Nazareth (not realizing that He had been born in Bethlehem).

Jesus was born in Bethlehem, to fulfill the prophet Micah's prophecy. But because of the 3 magi's visit to King Herod, he went on a killing spree of infants. To escape this, Joseph, Mary and Jesus had to escape to Egypt. When King Herod died, they journeyed to Galilee and settled in a town called Nazareth.
***The Return to Nazareth*** (Matthew 2)
19After Herod died, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt 20and said, "Get up, take the child and his mother and go to the land of Israel, for those who were trying to take the child's life are dead."
21So he got up, took the child and his mother and went to the land of Israel. 22But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning in Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. Having been warned in a dream, he withdrew to the district of Galilee, 23and he went and lived in a town called Nazareth. So was fulfilled what was said through the prophets: "He will be called a Nazarene."
