Yes, Catholics are Christians. The Roman Catholic Church is considered, statistically, to be the largest single denomination within Christianity. And the Catholic Church does not discourage people from reading Scripture; in fact, Scripture is openly read at every Catholic service, and any Catholic who wants to can read the Bible on their own. As for Martin Luther, he was reacting to what he believed were injustices and corruptions within the Catholic Church, and did indeed turn his back on his Catholic religious profession and went on to be a major player in the Protestant Reformation. Do Catholics change? Sometimes, Church tradition can indeed change, as in the reforms of Vatican II.

You are asking too many questions at one time. So I'm gonna answer the last one.

They don't want people to open or read the bible because people try to stray away from God all the time. Religion is so controversial. But when some one is really trying to keep people from reading something like the bible and sharing things from the bible. You must know that the reason has got to be that it is something in the bible worth reading that people are trying to prevent from getting out. So pick up a bible and start reading it for your self.

The New Living Translation is really easy to read. It's good to start with the New Testment.

Your question(s) does /do prove one thing and that is that ordinary people can be pssed of by idiots who are probably drunk or pretending but true believers feel the need to defend their beliefs even when put forward by an obvious moron, because they think that the questioner might be serious and in need of spiritual help. Personally I think psychiatric help is needed.... Oh! and not confusing .. Just confused!

The Church does not forbid anyone from reading the bible. I know because we read the bible every Sunday at Mass.

Catholics are Christians. We are the original Church set down by Christ 2,000 years ago.

Go here for more information about what the Church teaches: www.catholic.com and www.scripturecatholic.com.

God bless.

Does English like that come from reading the bible? I don't understand how you can read at all if that question is anything to go by. How the hell did you manage to use the caps key in such random places? In answer to your question I have no idea what you are going on about.

When you stop playing with the caps lock button I'll give you a proper answer - in the meantime your writing is unreadable and even without the caps rubbish it still doesn't make much sense. Try again only in English next time please without the use of text abbreviations - this is NOT text-phone site ! ! !
