I don't know if God is powerful enough to know the future or not, but if he did then all this chaos in our world was then intended as God knew it would happen. If you say he did not
know the future but rather left that in Adam and Eve' s choice then it is even more funny.
God created Adam and intended to stop with that. However
Adam got bored so God created a woman to accompany him.
The punishment that Adam and Eve got was that they had
to bare children and pass on the sin to this very day.
So why did God give Adam a dick even before he thought
of giving Eve to him? Why did God give Eve a vigina before
he knew they would sin? Sounds pretty much like God knew
what was going to happen.

if god really does exist, (no offense though), why does he creates suffering and crappy creatures like viruses?
Why don't he just create something perfect and stay that way forever for instance?

Science deals only with the physical and natural realm, faith with the spiritual and supernatural. Science can neither prove nor disprove God's existence nor will it ever.

1 Corinthians 1:18-25 (English Standard Version)
------------------------------------------------
18For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 19For it is written,

"I will destroy the wisdom of the wise,
and the discernment of the discerning I will thwart."

20Where is the one who is wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it pleased God through the folly of what we preach to save those who believe. 22For Jews demand signs and Greeks seek wisdom, 23but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles, 24but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

So people go to church and pay tithing at their individual church. Does that church keep all of the money and use it for its needs, or does it like send it to the church head and then the church head distributes funds as they are needed to the chruches? Would a catholic church that was not making enough money to keep itself running get closed? And please, no comments on how giving money to churches is evil, or a waste, or paying court settlements, etc...

They just seem to not be as affected by deaths of family members, family pets or close friends to the same degree as the average person. It’s just something I’ve noticed and I’m not sure if it just the Mormons I’ve met that are this way or all of them. I mean, it kind of makes sense – I don’t think it’s too presumptuous to say that those guys do believe in some pretty full on stuff.

Hello i am 15 years old and I am a girl.I want to know if these thoughts are common in others.Post a response if you feel that you should maybe Please? would help this cause to know an answer.I constantly think things like "is there a god?" I think about how I am made of flesh and bone which are just meat like ham(lifeless meat) I have a brain but all it is is meat.I know my mom and dad are made of meat but sometimes they comfort me into thinking that there is some deity watching me in the sky(which I highly doubt)but on a daily basis I go back and forth between believing and nonbeliving in a god, mostly because biologically, I desire to be happy like other people and for some reason I cannot be happy knowing that I'm a piece of meat and so is my family.I cannot choose to permanently believe or not to believe until I know(I will never know) so I must deal with it mentally which does bother me somewhat because if there is no god that means everyone is meat and so is everything and every

Okay, so it's on here all the time and I just dismiss it.

So here's why I'm asking instead of reading the 1,000 other times it has been asked. First is to get through all the *drink* type answers, and ask what is the best answer you've ever heard to the question.

I mean really it's a valid question, God can do anything, well then God can either make a rock so big He can't push it, or He can't.

Either way there's something He can't do, it's unavoidable.

"Nothing is impossible with God" is something I hear all the time on here, well how is this possible?

I have heard people say people who cuss like that have a bad spirit, what do you think?
I went to get lunch yesterday a young woman maybe 20 or so was saying the F-word every 8 or 9th word.
I almost ask her to stop I was with my 65 year old mom so it was embarrissing.
She kept looking at me like she was dareing me to say something.
What do you think should be done in a situation like that?
and do you think its a bad spirit? and the Holy Spirit in Christans provoke it?

In Exodus 20: it reads the following…
1-God spoke all these words saying:
2- I the Lord am your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, the house of bondage:
3- You shall have no other gods beside Me.
4- You shall not make for yourself a sculptured image or any likeness of what is in the heavens above, or on the earth below, or the waters under the earth.
5- You shall not bow down to them or serve them. For I the Lord your God am an impassioned God, visiting the guilt of the parents upon the children, upon the third and upon the forth generations of those who reject Me.

My question to you is, if the Lord gave this commandment to us all, why do you fall on your knees and pray to saints?

When you actually read the bible you notice that none of Jesus's true followers allowed anyone or anything to bow to them- they knew this takes glory from God (father of Jesus). So why does the pope and other catholic officials allow it? Are they better than Peter, Paul, John.ect....

Well I'm agonostic so i'm still trying to figure out what I want to believe. But I have used God's name in vain in anger and other situation. And since this is an unforgivable sin. And a local pastor told me I'm going to hell since you can't repent for it.

Mark 3:29 "But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin."

I'm screwed I guess. Who knew one pharse has given me a one way ticket to hell.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not some jerk theist trying to "save" people. I'm a 17 year old kid thats decided to give up organized religon, and possibly become an atheist when I move out of my parent's house.

I recently read both Dawkin's and Hitchen's books, and am really liking the sounds of atheism, I have always been a logical person and am pursuing a degree in Science next year (Science = opposite of religon). But still, I can't help but fear eternal damnation. I was raised Muslim, but the concept of monothesium and an afterlife are still there like in Christianity, and the idea of Hell seems universal. Perphaps because it has been beaten into me for so many years, I have trouble accepting this illogical place.

My question to atheists is this. Do you fear Hell? If you were brought up religous, was there like a grace period where you feared hell, like a long process toward's atheism, or did you just give it up easily , without second thought.

Thanks in advance for any help :)

Do you ever wonder what ham tastes like? Are you ever tempted to try it? Or does the thought alone disgust you?

My stepdad converted last year and I imagine he had a hard time giving up bacon.
