Christians, what are your spiritual gifts? I have the gifts of discernment and teaching. Ever since I was little, I could easily distinguish what was holy from what wasn't. What gifts has God given you?

I am wondering .. Jesus always mentioned that he is the Son of GOD. Then the question arises as to who is GOD. Even Mohammad says that He is Messenger of GOD.... But in INDIA... Krishna says that HE is GOD and everything emanates from HIM.... If I see the old testament and old quran both Jesus and Mohammad seem to have visited INDIA for Spirituality.

i've been accused of being a tree hugger (in a negative sense) many times in here and in the real world. i guess it's because i'm pagan and care about the environment. how is this a bad thing? if nobody cares for the environment, then life will cease to exist. well not entirely, cause life will find a way. it will evolve into something completely different i suppose.

anyway, i want to help protect the earth. i respect all life and think i am part of nature, not above it.

i'm not asking you to believe what i believe, and i'm not asking you to mock my beliefs, i am only asking why being a tree hugger is often seen as a negative thing. thanks.

how do Mormons feel about the papyrus that Joseph Smith translated from "reformed Egyptian." Egyptologists have identified it as an ordinary funerary document. how do you feel about this?

please note: this is not a criticism, i am curious about Mormon opinions, so don't take it the wrong way.

11,500 acres spread across 35 villages in Pakistan. Thats what Hindu refugee from pakistan named Vidhyawati lost during partition. In comparition, She was alloted only 835 acres in a village in Karnal. If this is her plight thing about ordinary Hindus struck in poverty. They were kicked out or killed and their properties taken away. Millions of Hindus\Sikhs lost their lives.

Majority of Muslims stayed in India not due to patriotism but they did not want to lose their business and wealth as they were assured that Indian government will not take away their wealth Few Examples: Nizams and Princes of Avadh Nawabs and their muslim ministers.

I read this forum more than I participate in it and it seems to me that most of the religions are very similar, yet some seem to feel their religion is supeior to others in some way. The religions that seem to be most different from the others receive the most venom and accusations of cultism. Maybe it would help if people stopped now and then and examined what they have in common and the virtues of these commnalities rather than constantly berating one another. In short, Can't we all just get along?

With all respect towards your religion it irks me that homosexuality is condemned by Islam. I'm still reading the Qur'an so that I might make sense of this but it irks me because personal experience (I myself am not homosexual) that homosexuality is something that cannot be changed nor is it anything that should be viewed as evil or sinful. Yet Islam, which I have a deep respect for, apparently condemns homosexuality. Are there Muslims here who do not believe homosexuality to be sinful and is this issue disputed at all by Muslims?

In a previous question, a well-versed answerer responded that current publications of Jehovah's Witnesses don't discuss obsolete information because it would "confuse" people.

Although "Proclaimers" is a fairly recent publication, the WT describes it as a "candid" - therefore, honest - account of their history including "adjustments" they've made when their "truth" turned out to be not. Page 730 of the Index lists some adjustments for years 1873-1975. Obviously, this is all "obsolete" information, but this IS a history book so if you exclude "old" information, it wouldn't really be a history book, would it?

1. So why would adding 1799 to that list cause any more "confusion" than all the other dates in that list?

2. Does this "confusion" result because to admit the WT was teaching 1799, not 1914, would mean that 1914 is also subject to becoming "obsolete" as the WT date for the beginning of the Time of the End, which would confuse anyone who thinks it's the absolute truth?

I live in central Florida , east coast. My eyes are constantly assaulted by womens body parts hanging out for public display.

Is it not a sin to entice men by showing your assets in public ?

Some will say "don't look". Others will say "we are liberated and have a right to show out nekked assets in public".

Some religions force women to cover up completely whilst in public, which is the other end of the extreme.

When women have to shave in order to show more skin (thong bikinis) is this not going too far ? Some new styles only have small patches to cover what other wise is a nekked body.

To me they would be less enticing IF THEY WERE ENTIRELY NAKED VERSUS LITTLE CLOTH PATCHES.

Is it not time to return to a modicum of decency ?

If so called "CHRISTIAN WOMEN" are showing their ***, are the end times far away ???

Assalaamualaykum ha rahmatu ALLAH brothers and sisters in Islam. Today my husband called his family and found out that his father's car was stolen yesterday. My father in law had this car since 1978 and he just fixed it. Also my father in law is feeling tired and we are not sure if he might have diabetes or not. He finds out the tests results tomorrow. I ask you all if you have time to spare to please pray that my father in law gets his car back and that he does not have diabetes. Shokran. ALLAH U AKBAR!!

I asked this question before but no would would discuss it with me:

How did life form from non-living matter and if this is the case how come no one has ever seen non-living matter turn into living matter?

Since there is no evidence (based on Louis Pasteur's and many others works) that living matter could come from non-living matter wouldn't this be a matter of faith that since life is here (on earth) it had to have come from non-living matter?

If so I thought science was not faith based, but rather used knowledge to draw conclusions?

With that being said why does science rule out all possibilities of a higher being creating life simply because it cannot be proven, but in the same breath turn around and say that life from non-living matter and/or Panspermia (the idea of aliens planting life on earth) is possible when it cannot be proven either?

Why are we so quick to rule out the thought of a higher power, but not so quick with any other hypothesis for the creation of life?

I am an Atheist so I have never really understood all of these people who fight and die in the name of their religion or "Holy wars".
Is your religion really worth the loss of human life?

P.S. This is not a rant, just an honest question.
