I live in central Florida , east coast. My eyes are constantly assaulted by womens body parts hanging out for public display.

Is it not a sin to entice men by showing your assets in public ?

Some will say "don't look". Others will say "we are liberated and have a right to show out nekked assets in public".

Some religions force women to cover up completely whilst in public, which is the other end of the extreme.

When women have to shave in order to show more skin (thong bikinis) is this not going too far ? Some new styles only have small patches to cover what other wise is a nekked body.

To me they would be less enticing IF THEY WERE ENTIRELY NAKED VERSUS LITTLE CLOTH PATCHES.

Is it not time to return to a modicum of decency ?

If so called "CHRISTIAN WOMEN" are showing their ***, are the end times far away ???

Answer >>> Your sense of humor is lacking in many who refuse to sea the funny side of things.

Never the less we shall all give an answer when we caused someone else to fall into sin.

To tell you the truth, I don't go swimming for this very reason. If I do it's in female company and in a one-piece. I don't want guys to be looking at me. We are not supposed to stumble our brothers. It is a sin to lust, so I refuse to be the cause of such a sin. God calls us to be modest. I want self-respect as well. This is my personal choice and I don't think that I'm altogether wrong.

...Men and women should dress in a way that it shows off their face. Modest dress is what the Lord commands.
...There are women who are sure they can't keep a man without running around with litte on. If that is what you have to do to please your boyfriend, girlfriend or "significant other" in public, for Pete's sake, drop him/her, and find someone who respects you. Not every guy/girl is like that.
...Women who are scantily dressed show a lack of discretion or lack of brains, or both. With life as cheap as it is today, men need no encouragement like that. Some women are ignorant of how men are and how their bodies unclad can affect men.
...If a woman is raped or attacked, it is not automatically a woman's fault if she was immodestly dressed.
...No man has a right to attack, rape, or use any woman at all; at the same time, women walking around anywhere without many clothes on is equally as wrong and unwise.
...Men may want to consider giving up trips to the beach. I personally don't frequent crowded beaches in the summer - it is not a good place to improve my thought life.
...On the beach I have found that being nearsighted (meaning things far away are blurred without corrective lenses) can actually be a blessing, since you cannot focus on the women on the beach unless they are very close to you.
...BTW, most of the Christian women I know dress very modestly, following the Scriptures. They do not wear seductive clothing.

Wow, are you sure you're male? No, I'm kidding. I couldn't agree more. My standard has always been, no matter what I'm wearing, that I show enough skin so that those who are attracted to me want to see more, and I hide enough so that people who AREN'T attracted to me don't go "UGH!"

These women should learn how to leave SOMETHING to the imagination. Personally, I think nothing is sexier on a woman than a one-piece swimming suit or a tankini with a sarong tied around her waist. That's MUCH sexier than a skimpy bikini, even if you have the body for it.

And what I've found is that the men like it, too!

As a sidenote, Christian women should be more modest too!

Okay, your first problem is assuming these women are Christian. Just because someone is born to a Christian family, does not make them Christian.

But, in general, I agree with you. It's a woman's right to dress how she wants, but if she wants respect, dressing like that won't get her any. Personally, I think that a good standard in America would be skirt/shorts 6 inches above the knee, and breasts fully covered. Legs are not that sexual in our society, and men have been used to seeing them since the 1920s or before, and while I will forever cover my own stomach, I don't think it's as big of a deal as the breasts, hips or butt. And no one should be walking around in a thong, that's just disgusting.

I agree. I like to see a woman dressed modestly. And what needs to be covered is what normally would be if it were a cold day... not freezing, and the covering should be lose, not 2 sizes too small. Women may not realize that to a man it appears that they are selling themselves. The Bible warns of this.

Well, this is not a sign of the end times. That much is known. What is known is that the decline in modesty which we've seen over the years is a result of negative morality for christians as a whole. Put it this way. Every belief held has something to do with morality. For christian women to be modest involves their belief in the morals they choose. Thus, when there is a decline in modesty, and women are deliberately going against their own beliefs, that as whole is a negative moral factor since they are deliberately going against the christian teaching.

How do you know they are Christian women? I think it depends on the person. Some are more comfortable showing more and if that's what they want to do, its their right. If a whale of a woman wants to wear cloth patches, then get a blind fold. That is her right as a woman. Personally, I believe in decency and that women that leave nothing to the imagination have no self respect, but that's just my opinion.

I agree, but truthfully - it is between them and God. We are not to PURPOSEFULLY entice men with our bodies; however, men are visually stimulated and many are turned on by women who are fully clothed. If a "Christian woman" is wearing a skimpy bikini and doesn't have a problem with it, then God hasn't convicted her in that area, so there must be other more important areas He is convicting her in. Once God puts something on our hearts as wrong, we change it. We can't help but submit to His conviction, because if we love Him, we want to please Him.

I don't have a problem with women who wear regular bikinis, as long as everything is properly covered by the bikini. But thong bikinis are DEFINITELY going too far! That is indecent exposure - save it for the privacy of your own back yard or for an "adults only" beach. It is completely self-centered and disrespectful to expose CHILDREN to nudity - not to mention the health related aspects! For goodness sake - people who wear what amounts to butt floss are risking exposure to all kinds of disease when they go out in public like that - not to mention SPREADING disease if they have certain STDs or crabs! UGH! HOW RUDE IS THAT!? However, I've also found it to be a case of low self esteem for some; they carry their feelings of self-worth in their bodies, so they feel like they have to expose themselves to get attention from others, since they truly believe their body is the only thing they have going for them.

The U.S. DOES have laws pertaining to public indecency / indecent exposure. The problem is, they aren't being enforced and won't be until the citizens take a stand by contacting their local govt. authorities.

Mr. Zwink - read your bible. God created Adam & Eve naked, but He covered them up as soon as sin entered the world.

Isn't interesting, my husband always points out, that when you refer to someone showing their "body parts" it is usually a woman. Especially in music videos. I think women should not show everyone everything. There should be some propriety. Leave some for the imagination.

Unfortunately by the time you have seen everything the interest wanes and you want to move on to better things and people.

It's like playing poker - if you show your entire deck other players would be forewarned and forearmed and probaly fold in their cards waiting for a better opportunity.
