Every call is not our call. He had His mission, and He completed that. I take a teenager, a new puppy and mortgage any day instead of what He went through.

As St. Thomas Aquinas pointed out, Jesus did not suffer all possible things - for example, He never had any bones broken.

But He did suffer more than any other person on earth.

If our own crosses are a participation in His Cross, then our sufferings are to His as parts to a whole.

But in a certain sense, He does know what it is to suffer all things.

For example, it might be asked, how can He know the pain of rape?

This can be answered in the context of Catholic theology.

When Catholics receive Christ's Body and Blood in Communion, they pledge by that fact that they are bonded to Him in charity - it is similar to the principle that the sexual act between husband and wife is a sign of the love that they have for each other.

Now to receive Communion in a state of mortal sin is to unite yourself to Jesus without loving Him - to do that deliberately is an additional mortal sin of sacrilege - that is because you are forcing union with Him without love, which is the essence of rape - that is why a sacrilegious Communion is such a horrible deed - in fact, one saint pointed out that there is no punishment on earth sufficient to do justice for that kind of act.

Try being Crucified on a bloody cross, in tormenting pain, and then tell me what "True Suffering" really is.

But the awesome thing is,, he did it in the hope that you and i might believe in him, and never have to pay the penalty we all deserve for rejecting our maker.

He is our 'Bail' in a court of law, Receive what he has done, or we pay the penalty ourselves.

But yeah, teenagers can be a handful, especially if they dont know God, and bleive they are just lucky monkeys

Why should we expect anything better from a Teenager who is tought in their schools

Your from a monkey, therefore you have no ultimate purpose or or reason for existence.

and then we turn around and blame them for acting like 'animals' shooting up schools, taking drugs, and being wild.

they need the truth to.

Peace in Christ.

thanks for my 10 cents

That's Blasphemy - You think Christ did not suffer enough here on earth. He was born in a place where they keep animals. You were born in a hospital. He didn't have a place to stay, you have. He was beaten, you weren't. He didn't have a job but still had to pay taxes. So don't say anything at all.

Jesus all ready suffered that punishment. He died on the cross to save our sins. He took each and everyone of em. Mine, yours, Hitler's, President Bush's, everyone good and everyone bad. But just because he died on the cross so we can get to heaven doesn't mean that we will not suffer. When we suffer we become closer to Christ. Yes God morns when we suffer and HE'S always there when we need a helping hand.
So, smile and make everyday the best day and the last day!=]
Hope I helped a bit!

LabGirl, I’m fairly sure Jesus had Jewish grandmothers.

I’d gladly take a student loan, mortgage and a whole house full of puppies over living under Roman occupation.

Maybe He did. There's much in the life of Christ that was not written down in the Good Book.

student loans - jesus was a rabbi, that education wasn't free
family - he dealt with brothers and relatives that constantly doubted is calling
life - he spent 30 years preparing for a ministry of 3, anybody that has had to wait for something understands the pain in this
he was a carpenter, not the singers, he made things. who has ever had to deal with a upset customer?
as for hummanity in china, i agree. wonder why His church is growing faster there than anywhere else in the world.
