When you actually read the bible you notice that none of Jesus's true followers allowed anyone or anything to bow to them- they knew this takes glory from God (father of Jesus). So why does the pope and other catholic officials allow it? Are they better than Peter, Paul, John.ect....

It never fails- one of the biggest lies in the history of man- Peter starting the catholic church. 100% false. There is absolutely no biblical basis for this- in fact, the evidence suggest the exact opposite.
1) Peter had a wife.
2) Peter never went to Rome.
3) Peter was Jewish, why would he start a religion loaded with roman/ greek pagan rituals?
4) Peter was true believer in Jesus Christ- why would he have me doing upside down crosses and possessing graven art?
You see- no other church makes this claim because lucifer has not encouraged them to lie.

Any Christian would bow in worship to
+ God the Father
+ God the Son
+ God the Holy Spirit
Bowing can also show respect instead of worship. A man might go down on one knee to propose marriage to a woman.
In some Asian cultures bowing is a formal greeting of respect. Christians in these cultures do not stop bowing in greeting.
The Church on Earth is the Body of Christ. Each of us is a part of that body. I see nothing wrong with a Christian bowing in respect to the Christ in another believer.
The Pope has been selected by the Holy Spirit for his office. This act of God is deserving of respect.
In the Bible Jesus' followers did not allowed anyone to worship them but does not say that they rejected shows of simple respect and love.
With love in Christ.

*Is Catholic*
Why not? So you are telling me Jesus is not a person? How foolish!
Please show me where in the bible it says "I Peter/Paul/John say that none shall bow before me".
Also there exists no story in any Christian/Catholic/Pagan mythology that has as its moral that bowing before somebody sends you to hell.
Peter didn't start the Catholic Church. Who told you that? Jesus started the Catholic Church.
1. Yes Peter HAD a wife. Yes so what?
2. Yes Peter went to Rome. That is the historical truth. He started the first church in Rome. BTW where do you think he died? Rome. Where do you think he is buried? Rome.
3. Jesus started Catholicism not Peter. It was Paul not Peter that was the more "Greek". If you studied Catholic rituals you would find that they are VERY Jewish, especially the early forms.
4. What do you mean upside down crosses? Peter was executed upside down, that is where the Petrine cross comes from. There is nothing graven about it. Judaism is filled with images.
Yes actually the Orthodox Churches make the same claims.
There are plenty of other Churches that make this same claim, but I will let you do the research.

They wouldn't. That is a the Catholics. The Catholic church is actually an occult, just like the Mormon church. You see they have others teaching that R not of the Bible. They have their own doctrines. You know like God who is perfect woke up one day and said to Joseph Smith, Gees I could have had a V-8 and oops I forgot to put some things in the Bible so I will tell Joseph Smith and Father Whoever to make another book. Just joking. No we R to call no one father but the Heavenly father our our earthly fathers, says so right in the Bible. And U do know that in the Bible priest married. May be if the Catholic Priest married there would be non of this sexual perversion crap with there male parishioners.

when you read the bible you will see that they didn't forbid it either. so are you going to take this question up when people of certain nations bow down to their king or queen out of respect? the pope is the successor of peter and the catholic church gave us the bible. from the assurance of jesus i know we aren't doing anything wrong. stop nitpicking and trying to find fault in the church that gave us the bible, the church that jesus gave to us, no other church can make this claim.

more importantly the bible.
and from what sources are you going by,would they perhaps be from a biased source with an agenda?possibly anti catholic? give your source or remain arrogant and wrong.
by your logic jesus gave the first church the holy spirit and promised to protect it only for satan to infiltrate it and only for it to give us the christian bible. therefore you are calling jesus a liar, who between us really need to test the spirits?
the holy spirit is the spirit of truth and cannot teach error or lies, jesus promised his church the protection of the holy spirit and nothing not satan or anything else can encourage his church to lie in any shape way or form. peter was crucified upside down as he felt he wasn't worthy of the same crucifixion as our savior, all graven images are not forbidden in the bible, where in the bible does it say peter was married and there is evidence that peter went to rome. read the writings of the early church fathers.
how come you don't have a response? or is the greatest lie formulated to discredit the truth?

Jesus gave us one Faith. He gave us one Church. Care to show me which one?
Protestantism gives us 54,000 different ones to choose from. Does this match what Jesus set down? If we’re looking for His truth, where do we go?
“The bible,” you might say.
“That’s where every protestant denomination before me went,” I’ll respond. “Why are they all different?”
The fact is that Jesus set down one Faith and one Church, and gave it God-given authority. Our first pope was Peter. The Church’s authority passed from him to every other succeeding pope after him. That is why the Catholic Church has remained unified, under the Holy Spirit, for the past 2,000 years. Care to show me any other denomination like that?
By the way, the bible itself comes from the Catholic Church.
Here’s some reading if you’d like: http://www.scripturecatholic.com/primacy_of_peter.html#scripture_I

Mary Mag. knelt before Jesus, washed His feet with her tears and dried them with her hair. Jesus knelt and washed the feet of His disciples the day before His Crucifixion. It is a sign of humility much like ashes to ashes and dust to dust.

Posture in Prayer, Veneration and Worship
Deut. 5:9 - God's command, "you shall not bow down to them" means "do not worship them." But not all bowing is worship. Here God's command is connected to false worship.
Rev. 3:9 - Jesus said people would bow down before the faithful members of the church of Philadelphia. This bowing before the faithful is not worship, just as kissing a picture of a family member is not worship.
Gen. 19:1 - Lot bowed down to the ground in veneration before two angels in Sodom.
Gen. 24:52 - Abraham's servant bowed himself to the earth before the Lord.
Gen. 42:6 - Joseph's brothers bow before Joseph with the face to the ground.
Jos. 5:14 - Joshua fell to the ground prostrate in veneration before an angel.
1 Sam. 28:14 - Saul bows down before Samuel with his face to the ground in honor and veneration.
1 Kings 1:23 - the prophet Nathan bows down before King David.
2 Kings 2:15 - the sons of the prophets bow down to Elisha at Jericho.
1 Chron. 21:21 - Ornan the Jebusite did obeisance to king David with his face to the ground.
1 Chron. 29:20 - Israelites bowed down to worship God and give honor to the king.
2 Chron. 29:29-30 - King Hezekiah and the assembly venerate the altar by bowing down in worship before the sin offerings.
Tobit 12:16 - Tobiah and Tobit fell down to the ground in veneration before the angel Raphael.
Judith 14:7 - Achior the Ammonite kneels before Judith venerating her and praising God.
Psalm 138:2 - David bows down before God's Holy Temple.
Dan. 2:46 - the king fell down on his face paying homage to Daniel and commands that an offering be made to him.
Dan. 8:17 - Daniel fell down prostrate in veneration before the angel Gabriel.
1 Macc. 4:40,55 - Judas and the faithful fell face down to the ground to praise heaven and worship God.
2 Macc. 10:4,26; 13:12 - Maccabeus and his followers fall down prostrate praying to God.
