What's your opinion?

Is it possible to appreciate nudity without having lustful thoughts?

Should there be a limit to the amount of nudity that is acceptable?
(breasts, buttocks and male genitalia, but not female genitalia?)

Should children be allowed to observe nudity in different art forms?

What's your opinion on Michelangelo's David?

I mean, seriously... how did he get all the animals from all over the world on that boat? How did he get penguins to the Middle East? How did he get them back after the big flood? Why didn't the lions eat all the sheep?

Massachusetts is the only state that still has blasphemy laws on the books. What happened to freedom of speech? Why should religion be accorded this unique protection that no other entities have? Why is religion so insecure that it can't be questioned or made fun of?

"Among the more irritating consequences of our flagrantly religious society is the special dispensation that mainstream religions receive. We all may talk about religion as a powerful social force, but unlike other similarly powerful institutions, religion is not to be questioned, criticized or mocked."
— Natalie Angier

Blasphemy is mentioned in the bible in at least two places: In the third book of the OT, Leviticus 24:16 states that those who speak blasphemy "shall surely be put to death".

And Mark 3:29 "But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin."

Two weeks ago I posted what I thought was an innocuous question. It was "May I request help in creating an R&S community of Catholics and Episcopalians?" I got a good response. All the other groupings have a kind of community built up,even pagans. Why not us? Don't we have the same rights as anyone else? As far as my immediate motive,as I see it,when it comes to Christianity these fundamentalists have been permitted to dominate long enough; they hold themselves forth as the only "true" Christians; they represent themselves as the majority body of Christians; they presume to be the legitimate voice of all Christiandom,or even God Himself. I feel Catholics and mainstream Protestants need to become a stronger presence. Now,somebody - some group - obviously went to work on getting the question deleted, because that it was. There is no justification in terms of community guidelines. If there were,R&S would obviously break up these communities or cliques of atheists, pagans, fundies. Opinions?

I am in no way judging you...I just want to know... What can I do to change your opinion about "us believers?"

It's crazy how "non-believers" can sit there and bash believers ... when in reality if you don't believe that there is a God or not...what does it matter to you if anyone else does?

Now, don't get me wrong, I know that SOME CHRISTIANS CAN BE JUDGEMENTAL TOO. But not ALL of us are like that. I'm not saying all of you are either...

but WOW.... Why can't I just believe what I believe and you think I'm wierd or w/e, and I'll let you believe what you want... and I'll just pray for you?

Someone asked a question yesterday, asking how our all-loving God could justify the existence of Celine Dion.
I don't follow celebrities, and I thought it was a joke. The questioner reported me for abuse when I responded with "ROLF." Have I missed something about the lady with the dynamic voice?
