It never ceases to amaze me that people cannot equate love with rescuing people from Hell. Is it so difficult to understand that, If I believe with all my heart what the Bible teaches about sex sin and want to help people escape that trap before it is eternally too late, that love is the motivation? Does anyone go around rescuing people they hate? Common sense will dictate otherwise!
Homosexuality and lesbianism are sins which can damn people to eternal suffering! God calls this these sex acts an abomination!
Real Christians stand for truth no matter what! They would rather offend men than disobey God! They don't live to be ignorant to others, but to deliver men from spiritual ignorance.
Their motive is love and genuine concern for Hell bound sinners. They know that God has had mercy on them and want the same mercy for everyone they ever know in their sphere of influence. They believe the Bible and Christ with all their heart, soul, mind and strength.
It is twisted thinking that our motive is other than love, and all such thoughts are planted into the mind of those outside of Christ by the devil who would rather see you go to Hell than anything else he wants.
I know that there are some who are so caught up and trapped
in this life that they are under a strong delusion about what is truly happening to them, and will not be surprised to see the thumbs down, but I care enough about the one person who may really want to see the truth and break free from it that I will endure the scorn of trillions if one person can be reached with the truth before they have to face God in all His holiness and power on the day when we all stand to be judged.

As has been stated and stated and stated again, it isn't a dislike for those who are homosexuals and bisexuals. It is more a disdain for what is deemed sinful behaviour by God and His Prophets from the beginning even down until this current time. Just as they have spoken against adultery and while there is nothing that defines pedophilia as wrong that goes totally with out saying. Sexual sin is sexual sin is sexual sin. Are pedophiles born that way? If so does that make ir riht or should they somehow correct their error and sinful tendencies? Or should they be allowed to live any lifestyle they want to because they are just born that way? I would submit that if they are born with that tendecy they need to correct and control their behaviour to one that is not only socially aceptable but acceptable to God. Indeed it can be done for Pedophiles and for Homosexuals and Bisexuals.
If God can't look upopn sin with the least degree of allowance, should he just accept those who choose to live whatever way they can, or should it be people willing to mold their lives to God and his will?
As someone said God created Adam and Eve, man and woman and blessed that relationship and commanded them to multiply and replenish the earth. Just because science can allow homosexuals to have children now doesn't make it in accordance with God's will.
I am a sinner and have my own things to work out and repent of and so I am not the judge. I don't excuse myself in the least nor do I think I am greater than anyone. I am a sinner in need of Jesus mercy as much as the next guy. This is Yahoo Answers though, and thus this is the answer I have! Thanks for the question.

Well look we believe homosexuality is a part of sexual immorality. All the sins have a number of sub-branches of sins.
Sexual immorality:
Prostitution
Fornication
Homosexuality
Lust
Naturally everyone sins, whether it is a lot of sins or few. If we were to condemn all people who sinned, we would condemn everyone. The only important thing for us is keeping the church pure. I don't really care what people do outside the church, but the church itself cannot endorse homosexuality, openly homosexual ministers, in the same way that we cannot allow a minister to also be a prostitute or a thief. The minister has to reflect the righteousness that comes with the Holy Spirit. The minister cannot endorse sin just to appease a congregation.
If our stance on homosexuality or lust or fornication upsets the congregation, then the congregation just needs not come..... We cannot change our doctrines just to make more people come to church.
It would be better to have 10 members of a true church than 10,000 of a Luke-warm one.

i have friends and 1 kinfolk that's homosexuals i have nothing against them or the ones i dont know. there are several scriptures on this. Leviticus 18:22 Leviticus 20:13 Romans 1:27 revelation 22:15 revelation 21:8 sexual immorality has to do with anything that is outside of marriage, and is not man and woman being married. just because you follow the laws doesn't mean you dont like the person that's doing the sin.

I am a Christian, but I do not dislike homosexual or bisexuals. I actually have friends, good friends, which are homosexual or bisexual. To answer your question. I think that some Christan's do tend to forget what God is all about, Love. One thing I do agree on is that in the beginning God created man and then he created woman so that man would not be alone. So lets say that it does not specify in the Bible about homosexuals, but then why did God specifically create a man and a woman to be together. But then again I'm nobody to judge anybody elses actions in life.

We don't dislike. We judge them to be more sinful than a thief. In order to make sure we are not influenced by them, we stay away from them. This is not the right action. The right action is to be their friend and to see that one day they know that it is a sin and it is wrong, no matter what sort of justification they give. If you are a girl and I am a girl but you are a lesbian and I am not, I am afraid of you because you might fall in love with me which I would not allow because I would only allow normal man to fall in love with me. It is not that I purposely want to hurt you. It is more to avoid bigger problems that may come.

I don't dislike them as people, I just disagree with what they do. And there is a verse in the Bible that says a man isn't supposed to "lie" with another man as he does a woman. In other words, men aren't supposed to have sex with women. And as a person, putting my religion aside, I believe homosexuality is wrong. I seriously doubt it will ever be made illegal or anything, and I'm not really wasting my time pushing for that, but I hope America still realizes that marriage is a union between a man and a woman, not two men or two women.

homosexuality is considered an abomination to god since he designed sex to be between a man and a woman. there are a few verses in Leviticus that point this out, as well as a few in the new testament as well. in that time a tribe's strength was in the number of people in the tribe, specifically males, and when men lay with men, as they should lay with women, that was considered an immoral act, much like adultery, but worse since the union would not have the possibility of producing a child that could grow up to be a warrior, or produce a warrior in the future.
some Christians however forget that Jesus told us to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. in other words hate the sin, love the sinner.

I have been told that it is not the person it is the sexual acts of homosexuals and bisexuals. I am a Christian and I don't care one way or another.
In the Bible the city of Sodom was destroyed for their wickedness which included men having sex with other men. Most fanatics use that and the Flood as cause enough to hate.
Also it is not only Christians. There are many other faiths that will kill a person on the rumor of being gay.

Former Christian here so I hope my answer is OK.
When I was a Christian, I read the word of God and it was clear that he doesn't really have much patience for Gays. After all he anihilated an entire city with fire and brimstone because they existed. (Sodom and Gehmorrah) I would look at verses in the NT that taught against it and believed I was just following God's written will.
When studies started coming out about physical traits that may mean Homosexuality was genetic and that it exists in the animal kingdom in the same percentages as in humans, I did what most good Christians do. I denied the studies and assumed those performing them were fudging results because they were anti Christian.
The problem with Homosexuals being born that way, is that it means that God is a serious Jerk, as he would have created them and damned them to hell before they were born. That is why Christians fight against the 'born that way' statements of Gays.
Christians are just reflecting their God's attitude towards homosexuals. The funny thing is they can do that and still maintain the belief that God is love. It boggles the mind.
I am no longer a Christian and have a more open opinion about Homosexuality, live and let live.
