Given the current state of the country/world:
Abuse of executive privilege i.e illegal wiretapping
Humanitarian abuses i.e. Guantanamo Bay
Lying to start a war i.e. WMD in Iraq
The deaths of 10's of thousands of innocent civilians (MURDER)
Keeping our military in a civil war in Iraq (this is not the correct use of the military)
I could just keep going......WHY did you vote for him/support him? Does he seem very Christian to you after what you've seen? I just don't understand some of the lingering support....Do you regret voting for him? Thoughts? I know that others voted as well but I am perplexed as to why you would vote for a war monger......

It's SOOO difficult to understand and accept when a child is killed or dies from a disease. How can I believe that God would have this in His plan? The pain is unbearable and it's difficult to maintain enough faith to survive this. Why do horrible things happen to good people? Why was a 3-year-old taken when so many BAD people continue to thrive and hurt others? I'm having trouble figuring this out.

I'm not trying to put anybody down, and I guess others have asked this - but I'm asking it from a totally (looking for honest answers viewpoint). Is there an athiest creed or do different athiests have different views? (I think Judiasm has different beliefs w/in itself). Again, I'm not judging or trying to judge - I'm just curious. All honest answers appreciated!!!

Ok, look at it this way. If you AREN'T a Christian, and Christianity turned out to be right, then as an atheist, you're gonna be totally screwed when you die, so I can understand that from a Christian perspective there is a need to educate people on what they believe about the afterlife. However, from an atheist point of view, it isn't going to hurt you to believe in something rather than nothing, so why bother trying to make people agree with you?

I don't think any best answers can be chosen...I'll probably let it just go to vote or something.

I won't be rating anyone either. This is only a poll of opinions.

This question goes out to all the Christians out there who constantly post variants of Pascal’s wager asking what do you have to loose if you worship God. Keep in mind this is purely a hypothetical question.

Say after you die you realize there is an afterlife, but hold on, it’s not the one you had expected. You find yourself in the presence of the Egyptian God of the Dead, Anubis. He’s about to weigh your heart against the weight of a feather. This will decide your fate in the afterworld. What say you? What would be your reaction if you found out that you had picked the wrong God? Is your heart as light as a feather?

(I am not saying I do), how the universe come about? If it started from a "big-bang" how did the big bang start? If it wasn't a "big bang" what was it? I would like scientific proof as well. Thanks

just for fun, I've started reading "The Book of Mormon". So far I've only read the introductory pages (the witnesses accounts and the testimony of Joseph Smith). How can anyone believe this nonsense? Do you actually believe that Joseph Smith's account was true? How can you read the words and not burst into hysterical fits of laughter? Do you really believe the stories he wrote down about the civilizations of Judeo-Israelites in the Americas in pre-Columbian times?

You see, Squirrel and a couple others have been deleted/suspended. Someone has reported 10 of Athiest Eye Candy's posts in 10 min. Someone forced Uncle Wayne into hiding. That someone will most likely report this question. This someone must be stopped. WHO IS WITH ME AND WILL NEVER GIVE UP UNTIL THIS IS STOPPED?!?!?!? And, you person who is about to click on that little "Report Abuse" button by this question, reporting will only inform Yahoo! of what this question is talking about!!!

With the Chris Benoit thing, the Yates mother who killed all her kids, the lady who chopped off her 9 mth old daughters arms...and countless others recently that we've heard in the news...even the pregnant girl that was found earlier this week dead, 9 mths pregnant!! I dont understand what would cause ppl to kill children, family members..but thats all you hear about now..it saddens me..I just couldnt imagine. But heres another question...who is to blame?? The killers, Satan..and plz forgive me... God?? Ppl blame Satan and say he told them to, is that an excuse or what?? Why didnt God save the children who are innocent in these murders? I am not mocking God but I dont understand why these kids have to go thru death in that manner..I would like a passage from the Bible that could explain what is going on in our world and explain why?? i know there are some things that we not get reveiled to us untilthe Lord returns but is this the beginning of the end?? What do you think?? Thank you

Please, be gentle, i'm actually looking for an answer, not to just get people angry.

Look at it this way- if God has planned the moment of every birth and death, aren't the mother who has the abortion or the murderer just going along with god's plan?

I'm looking at psalm 139, verse 16. It says " You saw me before I was born and scheduled each day before I began to breathe. Each day was recorded in your book."

Now, if each day is recorded before you were born, wasn't it in the book already that you were going to be aborted or murdered? Isn't the mother or the murderer just doing what God had planned for them to do, because the person who died was already scheduled to have been killed on that day?

That is why do they think humans are superior to animals when in reality humans are made out of the very same atoms that make up other animals.

For example, some of the atoms in your body today may have been part of a dinosaur's body several million years ago.
