Given the current state of the country/world:
Abuse of executive privilege i.e illegal wiretapping
Humanitarian abuses i.e. Guantanamo Bay
Lying to start a war i.e. WMD in Iraq
The deaths of 10's of thousands of innocent civilians (MURDER)
Keeping our military in a civil war in Iraq (this is not the correct use of the military)
I could just keep going......WHY did you vote for him/support him? Does he seem very Christian to you after what you've seen? I just don't understand some of the lingering support....Do you regret voting for him? Thoughts? I know that others voted as well but I am perplexed as to why you would vote for a war monger......

I have many family/friends who would vote solely for abortion stance but my other question is: what about the Iraqi civilian children who were killed?

I not only did not vote for Bush at any time but I condemned him the day after 9/11 and apparently I was one of the few. Bush has no honor, he is despicable.

Simple, the Democrats could not provide a good choice.

John Kerry???

As for the war in Iraq I generally agree with you, but do you honestly think Kerry would have done anything better?

He would have either kept us in that mess or turned tail and ran which would have left civil war (much more death and murder).

Left with a worse or same foreign policy. I voted for fiscal issues. In that respect I do not regret my vote.

As for everything else... we should not have gone into Iraq in the first place, but once we did we have a moral obligation to rebuild what we destroyed.

and of note I did not vote in 2000 because I was not 18 at the time, but I supported Gore, and I am not Christian.
I hope this helps.

Are you referring to the 2000 or the 2004 election, or both?

I voted for Bush in 2000...but gained so much insight into the madness of the Bush administration that I was forced to vote against Bush in 2004.

I consider myself a "religious" person - attending my House of Worship nearly every week, and participate in activities there, throughout the month.

What I don't like is when elected officials begin to impose their religious believes on the rest of the country.

Non here, but I didn't vote at all in 2000 and voted for Kerry in 2004.

He will go down in history as the worst president ever.

I really don't think he won either. There was some serious vote tampering going on.

Could we just stipulate that plenty of people DIDN'T vote for Bush and let those that did actually answer for themselves?

The things you're complaining about pale in comparison to the million children who are slaughtered in this country in abortion clinics each year. Unfortunately, both of Bush/Cheney's opponents (Gore & Kerry) seemed to think this was some sort of right. That right there ruled them out for my consideration.

UPDATE: It's terrible that innocent iraqi children have been killed, no doubt. I think the killing of 3000 people a day is an even bigger problem though, not nearly that many are being killed every day in Iraq.

Christians would vote for him because he claims to be a Christian and because they're ignorant of everything you listed.

I didn't vote for that idiot. He has given the USA a bad name. He should be impeached and thrown in jail for the rest of his life.
