This question goes out to all the Christians out there who constantly post variants of Pascal’s wager asking what do you have to loose if you worship God. Keep in mind this is purely a hypothetical question.

Say after you die you realize there is an afterlife, but hold on, it’s not the one you had expected. You find yourself in the presence of the Egyptian God of the Dead, Anubis. He’s about to weigh your heart against the weight of a feather. This will decide your fate in the afterworld. What say you? What would be your reaction if you found out that you had picked the wrong God? Is your heart as light as a feather?

Reality is what I like to deal with.

If the square root of 1856 divided by the amount of people on the planet when armageddon comes... multiplied by the number of people who are fans of Captain Kirk... and a train leaves Boston Going 100 MPH is on a collision course with an airplane taking off from Phoenix...

There still has and always will be one true G-d, One Savior, One holy spirit which has always been and always will be.

Truth is Truth, Light is Light, Good is Good.

Wow!... A real question for thought! This is a good one...! This isn't an easy question to answer. The question is "How heavy is ones heart in sin" and will Anubis find fault in ones heart and soul to maintain the feather's weight. How heavy is the feather? How can one interpret ones soul to the weight of the feather. The feather is imaginary, it's a symbol in which one determines the goodness of the heart, soul and mind. If one knows that they have done their best throughout their life and have goodness and love in their heart and soul then their mind is clear from sin and the weight of the feather will show greatness in the person who is standing before Anubis. Have a blessed day!

So I made a mistake. When looking to the future whether in this life or the hereafter we have to take it on faith. If I start a business convinced I can make it work and it fails I simply have to start over from scratch. If I picked the wrong God my heart would be heavy. If Anubis is a true caring and loving God he must understand that. If he is not then he is not the God for me and I will take what ever judgment he wields.

Too many Christians would fail this test. Too many worries and cares. And they'd be looking for Jesus or to get away from Anubis to get to Jesus. They'd probably be doing a lot of praying to get them out of this confusion or think they are in hell and want to get released because there must be some mistake. How trippy!

A person's heart is lighter than a feather. The Biblical description of the heart is your conscience plus your soul

If I follow the greatest commandment, to love God with all my heart, all my soul, and with all my strength, and love my neighbor as I love myself.
I also do not know who has the right version of God. I don't know as he belongs to any religions , and frowns on others. Do you? This God is fine if he is not one of many gods (note small g).
Besides, I didn't pick God He picked me.
I have a very unusual religion, one just for me. I'm a christian witch. Leaves a lot of leeway.

Blessed Be

I didn't not pick the "wrong" God. Nor did I pick the "right" God. In his goodness, God revealed himself to me.

It doesn't mean God reveals himself the same way with everybody. The relationship that I have with Jesus isn't the same that the relationship the dude sitting next to me in the pews has, though we could probably relate to one another. By the same token, who am I to tell how God talks to people of other faiths?

I do believe the weight is based on your worries, cares and material items you hold close.
Hypothetically speaking, i don´t have much to worry about, because i just don´t hold much value on material items.
As for picking the wrong God, well, i would be questioning him on why he did not make him self more known.

Any how, your question could also be for Jesus as well, as in other words, Do you hold material things closer then you would hold Jesus?
Once again, I don´t think i have much to worry about :)

Your hypothetical is a hypothesis contrary to fact. Anubis is a false, Egyptian god. Even modern day Egyptians know this.

In that case, I'd be right behind ConstElation, saying, "Yeah, Anubis, why didn't you try to reach more people?"

And I'm not sure if my heart is as light as a feather or not.

The weight is about spirituality. Those that gained their personal spirituality while in the company of religion are fine. Those that did not will find their hearts too weighted with materialism.
