What do you believe in, regarding:

-Religion
-Politics

???

I don't think any best answers can be chosen...I'll probably let it just go to vote or something.

I won't be rating anyone either. This is only a poll of opinions.

Religion - I believe 'religions' are man made and were created long ago as a form of social control that modern govts do today. I don't believe in deities. I believe in humanity.. that human beings are for the most part good and that as a society we can cure the ills of our world.

Politics - I am a registered independent however, the older I get the more liberal I get especially when religions use politics to muscle in their version of 'reality'.

Morality - anyone can be moral regardless of what belief or non-belief they are. It is the parents job to teach morality and society's job to see that as a whole we are a moral civilization. That is why we have laws.

I think that health should be the priority of the individual because while you are on this earth you want to have the most enjoyable time possible and can't do it if your body is breaking down. The govt needs to help too by making affordable health care available to all its citizens.

I don't think there is an overall meaning of life - I think that is as individual and unique as the person it applies to. We can make a meaning but we don't have to; it's all in how we wish to define our boundaries.

- Religion
I'm an animist. I believe that all things around you have a soul. You can listen to the advice of the spirits around you or ignore them, but they are there. Even rocks have a soul within them at their heart, but you have to be still yourself to hear them.

- Politics
I'm independent in political affiliation. I have a fairly low opinion of politicians. Most seem to be in politics for their own aggrandisement or gain, rather than an intent to serve the public. You definitely should vote though - even if you only spoil the ballot.

- Morality
I try to be moral in all I do. I try not to lie or deceive. I try to be compassionate and empathic to others (difficult to balance with the oath to be truthful).

- Health
I have fairly good health, although I really should find the time to exercise more. Health is important.

- Overall meaning of life
To live as best a life I can. To teach my children to respect others and to live their lives well.

Religion: I believe in a supreme power that created the main ingredients for the big bang to occur. I believe that roots, plants, and animals have energies that can be used to our benefit. I believe the saints are there to help us, more so than "god" since he has much bigger problems than mine to deal with.

Politics: All policiticians are corrupt, you have to just choose the lesser of two evils when voting. But if you don't vote, you have no right to complain.

Morality: I think that anyone living in a civilized society over the age of 13 knows right from wrong, and that with good parenting, we just might turn out all right - without interference from government, church, etc.

Health: Don't know what you mean here. It's good to be healthy, but to each is own. My body and my health is my business, not yours or anyone elses.

Overall Meaning of Life: I don't know that there is one. We exist like all other animals on the planet, in the circle of life and death. Does there need to be meaning in that other that than we are a part of the ecosystem. Maybe we are just living creatures like every other animal. Maybe our egos have gotten too big thinking there is some "meaning" to our existence.

Religion: the word itself carries some baggage in this generation, but it's an overall harmless concept if kept in the right balance.

Politics: can get dirty, but it's not a bad idea to know what's going on in the world in order to make sure the lives of our children/grandchildren are going to be decent in the years to come.

Morality: extremely important. Absolute, not relative.

Health: very important. But, shouldn't be the deciding factor in whether or not people mean something.

Overall meaning of life: to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever.

I believe in a spiritual following of Jesus and not Bible based teaching. I like green party and independant but these will probably never get a vote. I believe that if you aren't a Christian, you can't be president because the Christian Right is in power and doesn't want to give that up. I believe that Love should be the Law of the Universe because if you are being loving you can't be hurting anyone. I know it's healthier not to smoke or make yourself fat although I know it's hard to change. The meaning of life is to learn and grow and help others.

I am a born again Christian who is a Republican so that pretty much tells you about my beliefs on morality. However, I will add that I have no problem with what other people believe..that is the beauty of God's plan for us. we have free will to believe what we want.

I believe in eating veggies and fruits while they are in season, although I don't always stick to that. I eat meat, just try to eat more fish and chicken than red meat.

The overall meaning of life is wrapped up in my belief in God and his plan for mankind. We are here to serve one another and God. Do unto others etc...and in the end, if we believe and accept the sacrifice, Jesus made on the cross for us, after we die, our spirits will go to be with God, forever, in a world created just for us.
1 Corinthians 2:9—'no eye has seen nor ear heard nor heart conceived what God has prepared for those who love him' ...

That the "politics" of the question are personal.

Brett ...I'll join you on that beer after 7pm, ...that's just a personal moral choice about my overall meaning of life in regards to my health. I religiously follow that rule to control my alcoholism! ...cheers
