Well I try listening to music that is close to the music that I was listening to.. Like have you tried to listen to different types of Christian music and gospel music as well?
I am a christian myself and the Devil always has a way to try to make you feel like you are back were you started.. Just remember that you are not of the world and there are going to be times where you will hear the music that is of the world but you have to be very careful not to get into it... I stay away from it because it always brings you back to where you were.. Don't get me wrong.. i know where you are coming from.... Just make sure that you repent when you start cussing and try your hardest to discontinue sinning in the same way.. i am having a hard time with me speeding on the road.. i have to learn how to go the speed limit..and not to laugh when something is funny that is not of God because you have to show an example.. You are not alone.. just continue to read your bible and ask God to help you with your problems..
I pray that God will help you to become stronger with making better decisions in life, In Jesus name i pray -amen

Everyone of us that are Christian are in the same struggle. Christ told us to crucify ourselves daily...to put your "old man", your sin nature on a cross.
It may help you to hold up better to know two things.
First, we hide God's word in our hearts so we might not sin against Him...so Bible reading and study, memorization is very important.
The other thing is, the meaning of the cross may have escaped you, as it does so many modern people.
It's execution, like the electric chair.
It means YOU don't come back.

I recommend that you read Joyce Meyers book Battlefield of the Mind. My thoughts would be you may be putting some things inside you that are coming out. We think we can listen to music and watch programs that are full of sinful things and they won't affect us, but that just isn't true. Guard your heart and your mind. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Please don't listen to those answering, that are telling you to be comforable with your bad behavior. That comes from the devil. Strive to be all that God wants you to be. The reason you even asked this question is because the Holy Spirit is convicting you of your sin. He wants you to rise above it and get victory over it. Press on. God bless!!

FRom our point of view, you recieved eternal salvation...Free.
You are no longer a puppet. But "All this belongs to me and I give it to whomever I wish, just bow down to me."--Satan
The earth belongs to the Adversary. Wealth, Fame, Power.
Evil people flourish, gangsters have been known to die in their sleep at 80. Gandi, Martin Luther King, and many others get murdered. Your influence will affect his game, and if satan could, he would literally kill you. If you are already 'saved', that's his goal.
Start going cold turkey, and get rid of the friends who say "you're being too hard on yourself".

Paul says it best in his letters: NO ONE is perfect. Accept that fact, and then just do the very best you can to stop doing what is wrong. When you mess up, say you are sorry. Pray daily, help people in need, be a good friend and daughter, do some volunteer work, and be selfless. You do those things, and you'll more than make up for the little things you do wrong.

All Christians, to one degree or another. When you catch yourself doing these things, stop immediately and pray. Ask God to forgive you of your sins and help you not to do it again in the future.

I cuss, I listen to Twisted Sister, P. Diddy, Fergie, stuff like(p.s. Twisted Sister is a rock group fro mthe 80s).
I don't think it has a henderence on my lifestyle, I always ask for forgivness when I cuss, but there is no such thing as wrong music, as long as it does not speak against the Holy spirit.

I would have you examine yourself to see if you're really in the faith. One of the ways we can know whether or not we're saved is by our attitude towards sin. Do we hate it or enjoy it? If we hate it, we're doing pretty good. If we enjoy it, well, we need to seriously have a talk with God and find out what's up.

You should find things YOU relate with, no matter what, then try to purify them up to the standards of Goodness, Christ would appreciate that more.
