I believe in God, but if someone says that God sucks and your an idiot for believing in him, then I wouldn't give him the thumbs down because that is what that person believe. It's an opinion people even if it's against yours.

I don't get it. Why do they have a burning flag? Why do they hate other people. Isn't the overall message of the bible about Love? I mean it's thou shalt not kill isn't it?

I find many Christians so addicted to god that they forget about the "real" world and their friends and family. They use anything they can to justify their addiction.

Maybe god should be categorized as an illegal substance. Thoughts?

Sunday while I was in church I went outside to call my brother, then I entered the building and started to talk with the missionaries and we called my bother again, right after our talk was done I was going to the class again and this guy came from the room accross and started to flirt with me, he belongs to the english ward that is in the same building with the spanish ward I attend. He seems to be in his middle or late 40's and I'm 18 y/o and 6 months old. He was asking me for my phone number and having my celphone in my hands I told him that I didn't have any number, he insisted and I started to act cold to him and he kind of stopped insisting and wrote his phone number and gave it to me. He said that there were few "nice LDS ladies like me" but I barely talk to him, I don't like him and I feel pretty uncomfortable with all this. That same day earlier he was outside the Relief Society room and started to talk about my necklace, I started to feel... wait details

I recognize that I have the ability to contrive imaginary meetings and conversations with the people I've encountered in my life... that I can evoke their memory and do with it what ever I like - make them dance or sing or speak; gesture, smile, weap and the like. I can manipulate everything about them; it's all available to me in my own able imagation.

I also recognize that I can do the same thing with fantasy figures like Donald Duck and Superman.

What I cannot do is meet my dead friends and family or any of the fantasy characters I'm familiar with here in the reallity of this space and time. They are not real, you see?

Do you posess the same ability as me and do you see the difference between imagination and reality?

I'm just wondering...

I see a lot a atheists mocking religious belief, and the idea that the world is created. Do they understand that we too mock them. As an Oxford Professor said, to say the universe happened by chance is like saying a tornado can go through a scrap yard and put together a boeing 747 (in fact this is the probability of just one strand of dna)

You laugh at me for believing the universe was created? (not the christian 6days/6000 years old creation). Let me just affirm to you that so do I mock you for your mocking.

Think About it!

If you think with your human mind, you will not get anywhere!!
I mean you'll be limited!

Who gave us the Capacity to think outside the World? For sure we don't know all the answers!, but there Must be someone who knows Everything!

Who installed in our minds God? Nobody can take that out of there, Can You?

Why do we know about Angels or demons?

I don't like when people have limited thoughts about this Life!

Again God is real!

It is a question for CHRISTIANS only. If you believe in other religion, could you please not to answer it?

I don't understand that why GOD lets some good people die tragically and some good people have pain / non curable diseases? If GOD loves us, why do we (Christians) have to suffer? I heard some people explain that it is to "Glorify" GOD. What is the logic (or reasons) behind it? I don't get it. :(

That gift is that he won't torture us for eternity if we can somehow manage not to piss him off?

Do religious people know how absurd that sounds?

Regarding this jesus character....
So jesus is a Demi-god. He is a god in human form. He also never sinned in his life. (Though some of you christians say he was human so he wasn't perfect and therefore could have sinned.)
So how exactly could a demi-god who could raise the dead, walk on water, cure lepers, etc. be tortured to death so easily? Why is it that the Roman soliders had such an easy time killing him? I'm not talking about him resisting. That would go against character, I'm saying that a Demi-god who could not commit sin, WOULDN'T be a human and therefore most likely wouldn't be tortured like a human.
Why didn't honey and gold flow out of his wounds?
Why did he feel any pain?
He could cure illness but not his own wounds?
I know the answer I'll get: 'you're just like the people who told him he should use his powers to get off the cross'. Well, why wouldn't he use his powers? He's a Demi-god his entire life and then decides to die like a pig in the end?
ZERO LOGIC.
