The Roman Church knows that if the people are able to read for themselves God’s word they
will discover that the Catholic traditions and doctrines are not just in addition to the Scriptures, they
violate the Scriptures. The Catholic Church has a long history of trying to keep God’s word from
the people. For example, at the Council of Terragona in 1234 A.D. the Roman Catholic Church
prohibited anyone from possessing any part of the Old or New Testaments in any of the Romance
languages (Portuguese, Spanish, Catalan, Provencal, French, Rhaeto-Romance, Italian, Sardinian,
and Romanian). The council ruled that anyone owning a Bible was to turn it over to the local
Catholic bishop to be burned. In 1229 at the Council of Toulouse (Pope Gregory IX presiding), the
Catholic Church prohibited “laymen” from having the Holy Scriptures or translating them into the
“vulgar tongue” (common language of the country). In 1551 the Catholic Inquisitional Index of
Valentia forbade the Holy Bible

I heard that Muslim men get 75 virgins when they get to heaven. I'm not sure if this is truly what they believe or not. If not, please correct me.
If so, what do the Muslim woman get when they die?

Jesus preached that you should not call other people fools by saying
"...but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire."

Yet Jesus called people fools several times. Matthew 23:17, Matthew 23:19, and Luke 11:40. Doesn't that make Jesus a hypocrite?

Mark 11
12And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry:

13And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.

14And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.

Matthew 21:19 (King James Version)
King James Version (KJV)
Public Domain
And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away.

Like, hey guys, he curses a tree for not bearing fruit out of season.
Jesus was a freaking lunatic!

I feel that it is like alcohol, cigarettes, porn, drivers licenses, and the right to vote.
It is an issue that should NOT be forced upon children in their formative years.
This is an issue that one should look at, once they have developed, so as not to be warped by premature exposure.

Your thoughts, please.

I know there are people who say they are Christian Witches, and some people don't think you can be both. (Just FYI, I'm a Witch, not a Christian.) If you think they are incompatible, why so?

I've heard from a person that used to practice whitchcraft and was also a Mormon, that whitchcraft practicing goes on in the Mormon curch and that the founder of the Morman Church Joseph Smith, practiced sorcery/whitchcraft? Do any ex-Mormans know this to be true? I wouldn't trust a currrent Morman to admit to this if this is actually a truth.

Every one of us is a sinful, flesh controled, Hell bound spirit.
I mean everyone, I do not care how good you are, how much you do for others, how much money you give to the poor, etc. All this means absolutely nothing when you die.
The ONLY thing that matters is this one thing. DO YOU KNOW JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR PERSONAL LORD AND SAVIOR???? That is truly the only thing that matters. If you know Him, you will spend eternity with Him, Father God, Holy Spirit, and everyone else that Knew Jesus while alive.
If not then you I am sorry to say you will spend all eternity seperated from God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, in fact you will have contact with not another soul for all eternity.
Again I say, not one of us is worthy of Heaven but because of what Jesus did for us all humanity has a chance to live out eternity there.
Will you join me there??

My mom is Mormon, dad is Methodist...I was raised Brethern, left and have been checking out the Catholic church......I know, messed up, but stay with me!

For the past 3 or 4 years missionaries have been visiting off and on...I've been to the DC temple(the visitors center) I've been to a youth conference, and firesides. I always have a good time when I'm with mormons....I'm happy.

But I'm having trouble accepting the books. I've prayed, and I feel like I should join, but there is somethign holding me back.

I want to know, what was it like when you realized the LDS church is the right church...and don't say stuff like "a burning sensation in my soul." I want to know what you read, or what you prayed to God, or thought about when you went "AHA! the LDS is the right church!"

Since GOD conciders them an abomination of what he has planed for them, of all he has given them why do they insist on desecrating his churches, even pretending to be ministers when they obviously haven't read the bible and don't understand the difference between sin and abomination?

Notice that in the Bible, God never called men who believed in him and his message Christians. Pagans gave there idea of what a "christian" is . God never reffered to us as christians. He did call us citizens, sons, and ambassadors but never christians. To be a christian.. you would have to live up to Pagans expectations not God's. I do believe in the Bible..not what men opinions are. What do you think?

Up until some years ago (when their "prophet" got yet another "vision" from "God" to no longer do things this way) Mormons believed that anyone that wasn't white had sinned along the way, and God darkened their skin color. For example. The Mormons belive ( I don't know if they still believe it, because they keep changing the beliefs of their religion) that the native americans are one of the lost tribes of Isreal that sinned and consequently were turned from "holy white (lol)" skin color to "red" in skin color. They also believed that blacks were cursed and as a result of this, there skin turned dark...despite the fact that nowhere in the Bible does it indicate a curse or skin color connected to a curse?

I would have to say that dc Talk has had the most influence on Christian music throughout the years, especially the Jesus Freak album. In their day they did more to make Christian music appealing to the younger crowd. They weren't afraid to tackle real issues. Their lyrics were real and thought provoking.

Also, I'd have to say that Audio Adrenaline and Third Day would be two other pretty influential bands.

If I wanted to observe/practice the Lord's supper, how do I do it? When do I do it? Also, where do I buy unleavened bread and unfermented juice. Can you make unleavened bread? What is unfermented juice? Can I make that by just making my own juice?
