From this day on the state of R&S is no more a liberal democracy, but a authoritarian absolute monarchy. Any objections? (Too bad, I say what goes).

Now everyone, laptop will be my gay husband. (flirts with laptop Jesus)

My daughter starts school this year. I have nothing against her learning about Christianity but it will be on my terms and with out judgement and hell. She is four she doesn't need to hear that sort of thing. But I also don't want her to feel ostrasized. So I've been wondering, if it happens, what do I do?

Who is to say something is unnatural? People do what is natural for them. Just because something seems unnatuaral to one group of people does not mean it is to another group.

I heard on Jack Van Impe that Tim O'brian of the Detroit Free Press says that it could be put on a driver's license or in a body? What are your thoughts on this chip? Do you think that we might be headed for fulfillment of the prophesy in Revelation, 13:16-17? It says, "He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark, on his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name."
I recieved a reply to a previous question and a man indicated that he had sat in on a meeting with one of the inventors of this chip. He said that the best place to put this chip would be the forehead or back of the hand, because of a lower temp that would be needed to recharge the battery.
This is all so in tune with the Bible, so what say you? Do you think this is the start of fulfillment of this prophesy?

On a question where the girl was asking for advice because she was molested by a JW this was one of the responses:

"If you are telling the truth..talk to your parents..but don't post it on the internet...delete the question....you will bring disgrace on the whole organization. If you are just trying to cause another scandal about Jehovah's Witnesses it's wrong of you to do this."

Does this scare anyone else but me?

Worldwide Islamic conflicts: Chechnya, Uzbekistan, Thailand, Somalia, Sudan and Dafur genocide, Chad, Philippines, Indonesia, Egypt, Kosovo, Bangladesh, Lebanon, Palestine, Tajikistan, Iraq, Algeria, Southern India, Kashmir, etc..

For that matter, should Islamic genocides, which are the greatest in human history, reflect on Islam?

Genocide and Islam: Chapter 4 - Islam and the Muslim Invasions “Let it be said right away: the massacres perpetuated by Muslims in India are unparalleled in history, bigger than the Holocaust of the Jews by the Nazis; or the massacre of the Armenians by the Turks” http://www.nalanda.nitc.ac.in/resources/english/etext-project/history/gautier/chapter4.html

Ottoman Muslims systematically murder 1.5 million Armenians. It’s believed Hitler got the “genocide” idea from this “successful” Islamic genocide. http://www.armenian-genocide.org/genocide.html

I am a 19 year old Muslim female who has been raised in a very strict and conservative Pakistani Family. I was always expected to have an arranged marriage, but in my heart I knew I would have never been happy. This year, I met the most amazing man of my life. He loves me and I love him more than ANYTHING. One problem: He's White and Christian (although he isnt very religious at all). My parents absolutely flipped out and I basically had to choose my entire family OR him. I picked him....I followed my heart. I seriously gave up everything I had ever known for him. I asked him to convert, and he said he would (but I have a feeling its more to please my parents over anything else). We are getting married this saturday at a mosque, but he also wants a small wedding in a church like a year from now for his parents. Now my problem is, if I go through with that (which I already agreed to) am I committing Idolatry by accepting whatever the church tells me to say? Im so confused. Please help

Um, if you could you pause tonight (and every night) to give energy through your goodness and ask for renewed health to an important person here in R&S, to your personal deity (or deities) you follow.
DebraM needs all the goodness and positive thoughts you can spare, (as do all who are in hospitals).
If you care but do not follow a path with a deity - you are more than welcome to hope modern medicine can return DebraM to her family and life style soon. Right?

Thank you for being understanding and a positive force.

I just answered a plea for advice from a yong girl who was molested by a Jehovahs witness man that she was alone with in the car going door to door (thier name for handing out watchtowers)...NONE of the JW'S that answered her told her to go to the police....NOt one that I could see...(i didn't read them all)...She was called a liar by one in particular and most seemed to be more worried about the JW reputation than the girl in question...MY question is: ARE WE GOING TO PUT UP WITH THIS? What can we do?..When are the coverups going to stop!

... and raised our children to be nudists themselves, thereby eliminating any sort of lustful aspects from the human body. If we all grow up with something constantly present in our daily lives, it would enter normality and no longer be treated with a "sinful" glance.

So... would you be opposed to such a dramatic conversion? To eliminate improper thoughts from the human body in regards to natural nudity? What are your thoughts?

Note: Disregard the health aspects of this, sunscreen and clothes would be worn in climates/conditions where it is needed.

Quran 4:34 "(as to those muslimah’s) on whose part you fear desertion, admonish them, and leave them alone in the sleeping-places and beat them;" http://cwis.usc.edu/dept/msa/quran/004.qmt.html

This IS a part of Islamic culture...that is...the right of men to intimidate woman. Denying it doesnt change what we all know to be a fact.

So if you believe that all religions and/or cultures inherently deserve respect, just for existing, then you MUST respect a Muslim mans right to beat his woman.

Keep in mind, these norms are important to mainsting Islamic culture. The Taliban arent the only Muslims beating woman who show their ankles. Only in the cities do woman have a little more breathing space, however the bulk of Islamic population exists under Islamic norms very much like the Taliban...woman can expect a beating for displaying any feminity.
