1. Inertia.
2. It would cost money to change it wherever it appears.
3. It would make a lot of Christians angry.
Of course, these three pale in comparison to why it should be removed.

If this statement is to remain, we should all be on the same page about it. Forgive Affirmed Spirits believe in one collective God of which we all are a part. That I can stand. Any view of a separate being from us, I don't get, because I have always been taught that God is everywhere, and if God isn't everywhere, then there is not one God and the Egyptians were right. So you and I are parts of God. That's my view. But if we do not mean the same thing when we say "God", why bother?

A Pledge is like swearing to something on something that you believe in so much that you would never think to go against it.
It would also be kind of difficult to say...'Under God, Allah, my ancestors, the spritis of trees, rocks, etc.'; every single thing that someone would be able to swear by & keep the promise.
Separation of Church in State is NOT in the Constitution, nor has there been a single law passed by any legislative body, federal or state. Only judges have created new laws based on that phrase.

1. with out an absolute authority, there can be no absolute morals.
2. The founding fathers DID base the whole constitution off of there DEISM....which isn't christianity to clarify. They allowed religious freedom....under God is not inhibiting religious freedom. You dont HAVE to say it.
3. technically, its a traditional thing....George Washington said it as the first president and i think its just a tribute to his leadership since he was the first and he was stinkin good at it.

"Under God" was added to the pledge, as part of McCarthyism in the fifties. It wasnt originally part of the Pledge, shouldnt have been added, and should be removed.

1.) Not everybody believes that crap.
2.) Our founding fathers didn't intend for America to be a Christian nation.
3.) It's wrong to force children to say something that their parents might not want them to say.
I guess those are 3 reasons why it SHOULDN'T be in the Pledge, your question confused me
