and i just mean god actually said. IM GOING TO KILL BABIES where as one could argue now a days its just the cycle of life. and how am i supposed to read that any other way? And raping Mary, if god were taken to court he would lose. Mary was a virgin and God took that and she a baby.. once again explain to me the other way of looking at it. Its in every movie about the Moses thing. He killed the first borns, the babies, the innocents, they had commited no sin but the "original sin" BULLSH*T.

Pharaoh had killed the Hebrew babies who also were innocent, when Moses was one...that's why he escaped death in a basket in the river...remember that part of the story? Also, the Hebrew girls all wanted to have the baby Messiah...just as all those young ladies after Adam and Eve received the prophecy that Christ would come to save the people from their sins...the time was right, and Mary was qualified because of her faith. The modern laws were not in effect yet anyway...different time different customs...etc.
The fact is, He died to save you and me from our sins...none of us could save ourselves from our own sins. We're not innocent.

WOW! Could you be any more wrong or are you just trying to stir the hornet's nest.
First of all, it was the Angel of Death who came down and took the life of the firstborn, not God.
Second, God told them what to do to have the Angel pass over their homes but the arrogance of the pharoh and disbelief of the pagan Egyptian parents is what allowed the death of their firstborn.
As for the rapist remark, God didn't "have sex" with Mary. And, if you read the Bible or knew the story, Mary did, in fact, consent to whatever He wanted, "Let it be done unto me according to your word" spoken to the Angel Gabriel.
Maybe you should spend a little more time reading the Good Book and less time breeding ignorance.

Have you heard that God works in mysterious ways? Also how do you know how accurate this was. God didn't write the Bible, other people back then wrote it. Back then God was trying to get people to believe and to acknowledge their sins. It says many times in the Bible that people were worshipping other Gods. Also The Virgin Mary is a virgin so what you said is not true.

God is just and pure. He is a Spirit. He does not have sex organs. He cannot rape anybody. You are misguided. "Mary said let it be t o me according to your word." She completely submitted to Gods request. As to the comment on Egypt and killing the 1st born. God sent His messengers to Pharaoh who was mistreating under "cruel bondage" the Israelites for over 400 years to let them leave. After water turned to blood, frogs, lice, flies, Egyptian cattle only die, ashes become dust breaking into boils, hail and fire mingled with hail, locusts, thick darkness for 3 days, THEN Moses told Pharaoh that man or beast would not come against Israel so he would know God put a difference between the Egyptians and the Israelites. If Pharaoh would not let Gods people go the 1st born of man and beast would die from Pharaohs chamber to the least. Also many signs and wonders happened before all this- such as the rods of Aaron and Moses turning into serpents and devouring the same from Pharaohs magicians. There were 10 plagues with many signs telling Pharaoh his persecution of the children of Israel has come to an end but Pharaoh would not. God was more than fair- you should do some research before jumping to conclusions.

first of all, God did not kill babies! pharoh the king of egypt refused to let Gods people(the jews) go, they were innocint as well. in fact in the bible it does say "an eye for an eye"! so God took the lives of the first born, yes even babies. however moses told the people that if they painted their door with the blood of a lamb that the holy ghost would not kill their first born. next, God did not rape mary, she was filled with the holy spirit. that is why she is called the virgin mary, that means that mary had sex with no one to have the precious baby jesus. he is a great God to follow, he fed 5000 with limited food, and he died for your sins. tell me have you ever read the entire bible, you might find it useful. im sorry im sure your nice but your idea is not fact based, do your research next time. and quit trying to proove the bible and God wrong.... its impossible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are a very angry person.
Virgin Mary did not consent to sex? She didn't have sex, she was a virgin.
God did not kill the firstborn in Egypt, He allowed the angel of death to passover their homes. The Egyptians are the ones resposible for the deaths because they were stubborn and hard hearted and did not listen to Moses' warnings.
If a fireman called out to you to jump out of the window of a burning building but you refused because you were stubborn, would it be the firemans fault you died? Most Certainly not.

Virgin Mary was a VIRGIN therefore there was no sex involved. God didn't have sex with for her to get pregnant. It's called the immaculate conception... Who do you follow? What do you believe in that makes so much more sense than what we believe?

In Egypt God did send a plague to kill all of the first borns, but get it through your head, they weren't babies anymore (some of them were) but there were plenty of families that had adult children. And this happened in response to things that the Egyptians did to the Hebrews. God is just. If he chose to punish them, I don't question it.

Way to understand the text.
Why is it folks like you always read the text more literally than any fundamentalist? Ever heard of redaction criticism? Didn't think so.
