I believe in God, but if someone says that God sucks and your an idiot for believing in him, then I wouldn't give him the thumbs down because that is what that person believe. It's an opinion people even if it's against yours.

It hurts me when they speak badly about God, but it's still an opinion. It's not going to effect the way I'm thinking.

Plus, there is no such thing as an incorrect answer in a opinion question.

Think of it this way...if you get a thumbs down, at least you know someone took the time to read your answer.

TK:
As a Christian, I hold a very "open" mind. Yes; opinions are like arm pits ... everyone has a couple of them and they all stink ! On a more serious note, I try and look for reasons to not to "thumbs down" a person's opinion and give the thumbs up rating. What I find is, that most people (with the exception of trolls) mean well and do believe in what he or she is opinionated about. When people attempt to change others - whether it be Christians trying to jam their views down a Atheist or Agnostic's throat or Visa-versa - "war" results. It is the hostile feelings steeped in war that cause resentment and the "thumbs down" from either side !

You are so right and I agree with you. I also am an atheist to boot and I have not given a thumbs down unless the answer is overtly offensive.

I feel sorry for anyone who does not have anything to believe in.I think they want to believe in something or they would not be looking in this section,if they really don't believe, then I think they are seeking something to believe in.
So they are trying to say their smarter than someone who believes in something they can't see, what about something you can feel ? My religion makes me a better person,a happier, more understanding and forgiving person. That's why I don't pay any attention to others comments, because I think they are seekers, and everything they read may get them thinking.using that intelligent brain they say they have.We are all brothers and sisters I love you all,the ones who found religion and the ones who have not.

(Many blessings)

I love when someone asks for your opinion and you get a thumbs down.

I generally reserve thumbs-down for two things: people who are factually wrong, especially if it's something I know to be different without any research; and copy-paste screeds.

Everyone is free to there opinion.

All right, I will rethink my thumbs down. Except for the real idiots, of course.

You have a good point.

Yet, getting thumbed down is how I can tell if people are not understanding what I am trying to say.
