That gift is that he won't torture us for eternity if we can somehow manage not to piss him off?

Do religious people know how absurd that sounds?

If I were a theist I would expect only a crocoduck for a pet. Actually, I think I deserve a crocoduck for a pet anyway!

Actually... don't you think it's more absurd that all we have to live for in this life is our 80 or so years, and then we die? I don't know about you, but I'd much rather live my life striving to please God and obtain the gift of my home in Heaven that he has waiting for me (and for ALL His children who choose to accept Him). Eternity is much more to live for...and Hell isn't something to joke about...

Look at all the crazy Christians running to your rescue! Praying while they type an answer. Loving you even though they don't know you. Wasting their time on you just as you planned! Man, you're making fools of them. What a great idea!! Where do I sign up?!
Wait a minute... Aren't they doing what Jesus did?
i think i'll sign up with them?

Yes and he gave you that gift when you were born,"your soul" and how you use that depends on you. The repercussions of abusing that gift, well I guess you'll find that out in the end.

Actually the gift has been given. It was His only son.(Jesus Christ) Now if you choose. And I mean choose to ignore Him. Then, you choose to spend eternity where you choose to.
Is this plain enough.?
