What are you expecting to happen? When you repent you stop doing whatever it was you repented for and anything else that you feel you need to repent for.
The Lord will forgive you each and every time because He loves you but I would not make it a habit because you don't know when He will return and you don't want to be left behind.

Repentance of the heart, truly wanting to better yourself into the saint you are called to be, is the first step to holiness. To fully encounter fully the forgiveness of God, by the magisterial teaching of the Church, is through the Sacrament of Confession. Through my own experience, it was there that I was able to encounter God's perfect love and forgiveness. This was the reason for my conversion and my deepening of faith. It opened my eyes to the Truth. I could tell you so many stories of hope of people who did encounter this through the sacrament. I strongly believe that this is the only way where one can receive God's infinite mercy. I am not trying to convert you into the Catholic Church. I am just trying to help a brother who is deeply yearning for God's mercy, somebody who deserves to know the Truth. I would like to know more about you, where you're at. A reply I would appreciate. Pray for the God to grant true repentance.....When you change,you will have repented.
Godly sorrow leads to repentance.

Maybe you should talk to a pastor about this instead of asking a bunch of random people on the internet.
I suggest an LCMS pastor who will try to understand where you're at & give you Law or Gospel accordingly.
