why would a omnipintant power be human? ALL we do is mess things up (not saying "god" hasn't)
people said the universe revolved around the world (that was flat) at that time too.
its time we realized the universe and GOD do not revolve around us. God is not a male or female. nor is IT anywhere near human.
God's language is math, and thats why we are in his "image" our bodies utilize his language so that we can exist.

But God cares. God is the Father and the Son. I think that the gender is self explanatory if we are talking about the God of Abraham.

It really doen't matter because all we should do is worship him because he was our creater. Well thats what God is to me but there people who say Gods a male or female. We really shouldn't worry about that because God didn't create us to discover this. Different people think different thigs about God so it really wasn't a good question and you would never get the right answer maybe not from me either.

To many Christians who take the Bible literally, God is male. ".. whosoever believeth in him ..." However, God, in the Christian faith, was perceived as a man because of the male influence on Earth. The Bible was written by man, and has been edited by man over thousands of years. To correct a comment above - for anyone who is of Christian faith, and can read the original Hebrew version, there is no question.
One of the descriptions of God is "El," which translates to "It." This is my idea of God. The name "God" simply means the highest being one can conceive of. For instance, if you believe that man is the highest being, man is God.

The Supreme Personality is a male but His eternal consort (first expansion) is female also known as the Supreme Goddess Named Sri Radha, Hare, Laxmi Devi, Sita Devi. And as for God His original Name is Krishna and also Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, Rama, Govinda, Gopala, etc.
Krishna says in the Song of God-" I am the source of Everything, everything emanates from me, not a blade of grass moves without my supreme will."

I think God is male and female. God was never a person, only Jesus was. God is in everything around us rather we believe it or not.
