#1: Many Christians are against abortion, because an innocent life is executed through no fault of their own.
#2: One of the main goals of many Christians is for as many people to go to heaven one day as possible.
#3: Many Christians believe that aborted babies go to heaven.

So, if the odds of an aborted baby going to heaven are 100% and the odds of that child growing up and trusting in Christ as their savior and redeemer are LESS than 100%, then why the massive outcry about stopping this injustice if the ends are satisfying enough?

"Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell."

How do Christians interpret this passage? I thought they said the relationship with God should be based on love, not fear.

Some call God "he" and some call God "she." But why would God be either? What does God need with reproductive organs? Who is God having sex with? And are there little baby Gods running around somewhere?

God gives you parents so that they can raise you and teach you what is right. And when you get older, they are there for guidance. I'm 21, still living at home, love my parents. I met a guy but it was online. I told my parents and I told them I wanted them to meet him. They were not happy about the way we met but agreed to meet him. They met him and dislike him. Reasons given by mom: he's not good enough, I'm looking down, he doesn't have a degree yet, and she even gave negative comments about his looks. Reasons given by dad: doesn't believe that the guy is in school, also commented on looks, he also thinks I have a problem with my own race since the guy in filipino and my first boyfriend was korean and I'm black. I love my parents by I think they are judging and looking down on someone, and I don't think it's right. But the bible says honor your parents so how do I do that in this situation? I'm praying about it but I still wanted feedback from others. comments?

I have learned that many Christians have no idea how the Bible was compiled and edited.
I have also learned that Many Christians do not even realise that they are not reading literal interpretations of Bible scripture but that in many cases what can only be described as creative writing on the part of the translators and interpreters used by the publishers.

If you would still be a good person, why is it so hard for so many people to view atheists as good people as well?

And the bigger question is: why doesn't the Episcopal Church see it's in trouble? Is it REALLY that blind to the fact that it's lost its "first love" and is in total disobedience to Christ? First it ordained an actively gay man as Bishop; now it permits actively Muslim clergy. What's next: active serial killers as clergy?

Frankly that movie and the one about Bruce all mighty are blasphemous to me. Because both depict God and His messengers, but more because it pokes fun at something sacred to Jews, Christians and Muslims. It might be funny, but I am not going to see it! I just consider it bad taste!

If you look at the vast majority of posts on the R&S board they are “Christians are better than atheists blah blah” and “Atheists are better than Christians, blah blah..” Since they cant grow up, and agree to disagree is anyone else ready to take the bickery “We are 100% right and there is no room for compromise Christians and Atheists out, stick them into a little room together and just let them duke it out? We could sell tickets, call it the ultimate battle for our souls. Anyone else up for it?

Its one thing to ask about the " How's of God being Triune... but have you considered Why He is triune . to what end is He this way in terms of His purpose and His desire with man?

Consider that when there is any kind of purposing in the trinity or planning we always see the Father.
Whenever there is any kind of manifestation as a person or as a type eg.. tree of life.. the rock in the wilderness...the one who wrestled with jacob... the one who fed abraham wine and bread after the battle.. the one in the furnace with shadrack meshack and abnedigo... WE always see the Son of God...
But the Spirit.. He is an interesting aspect of the triune .. in that whenever there is any realization of God and direct experience of God, then God does so in the person of the Spirit. Eg.. Overshadowing mary. Brooding over the earth in creation. Being filled with God and experienced by God.

Further thoughts on this is much appreciated. I believe real appreciation is in the triune's function.

I was once told by a pastor of a community church that everyone must forgive, and we all have the power to do so. However, the same religious figure later claimed that only God may forgive; people cannot do so. I took this to mean that people need God in order to forgive. Any thoughts?

Your mind is, in reality, not free. It is bound by the information put into it. Initially, it has no way of knowing whether that information is false or true. It is limited in proportion to the amount of false information it has. It cannot grasp many concepts. Otherwise, it would always cause you to get straight A's in school, and comprehend every concept right away. It doesn't. So what special gifts do you "free thinkers" possess, that your mind is different than anyone else's on the earth? And what gives you the intellectual authority to tell others to "free their minds?"

It's been my experience that nonbelievers know the buybull better than believers. And really, all you need to do is appeal to their egos then shame them a bit..but not too much

Sounds like a great job, doesnt it?

I don't want to offend anybody

But anyway I've always wondered what people thought of this. Do you think, if there is a god, he likes to just play with us a little bit. Like constantly make little inconvenient things happen to us all the time just for his own entertainment? Nothing serious, just funny, annoying, little daily inconveniences?

People have said that God is everywhere. That would mean that God is in you. That particulate matter is in you that is divine, that is everlasting, that is part of all knowing. If you perish from this mortal life and God is in you as I have stated, as has been related to me by people who seem to make more sense than others in my life....people who sometimes call themselves pagans, also believing in multiplicity of God in infinite places,.....if you die from this mortal life with God in you, then how can God separate from your particulate matter? And if you say that this God of yours can do so, then you have to admit then that God is not everywhere. And if you admit that God is not everywhere, doesn't that mean that something else is just as powerful as your God and exists in all these "unrighteous" spaces that you have in your preprogrammed imagination? And so now you have 2 Gods or more that are somehow equal or what? Please explain if you have this latter opinion

Nowhere in Hebrew texts, or hebrew OT is that name given. Nor in any Muslims texts.
It is only given once in the bible when refering to Venus, the morning star, King Nebachanezzar, of Babylon, in the same passage.
Nowhere else is Lucifer mentioned.
Why do christians insist Satan is Lucifer?
