There is nothing in the bible that says babies go to heaven. It does say that everyone will come before God when they die and have to make a choice. (everyone includes babies)
The main reason that Christians don't like abortion is becasue the old testament states that if you kill a pregnant woman you have killed two lives. So God considers the unborn baby a person and considers it a sin to kill it.

I can't understand how aborted babies would go to heaven from what I know of the Christian perspective. The fetus' that are aborted have little to no brain function, and no comprehension. How could they possibly even understand what's going on to make a "choice" in going to heaven. They would have no Earthly experience in living a virtuous or devout life (which the bible preaches to be the way to gain entrance to heaven). So it's really a double standard here that makes absolutely no sense.

Wow, good question! Just expanding, here!
Okay, here goes...
it would make sense to me that babies are safe, no matter the choices of those already living. IF you have'nt made a single choice as a human how can there even be a judgement call made?
Surely a god would be so much more able to see this than a human being? And since a human being can see this doesn't that make it possible seeing as "all things are possible with God?"
Now, if I were in charge I'd be saying to Soul. Care to have another shot at it?
But then again, that's just me.

Not only that, but by killing the babies of poor, uneducated women we have reduced the crime rate substantially since the late 80's and early 90's, which is 16-18 years after abortion became legal, and about the time these kids would have started their crime sprees.
Furthermore, we have slowed the growth of minority populations by disproportionately killing black and hispanic babies.
The next step is to start killing the elderly in those minority groups. They add to the burden of healthcare and are not supporting themselves.
Finally, the complete program will involve killing people who are in prison and mental institutions, thus reducing the recidivism rate of criminals and the high costs of maintaining mental patients in a hospital setting.
In Phase II we begin a planned program of selective breeding in which only the most intelligent among us will be allowed to have children.
During this phase we will begin to organize the exploitation of minorities, the poor, and the ignorant to power our industries and free us up for more noble pursuits of the mind.
Massive breeding programs among the underclasses will produce millions of children with organs ready for harvesting to serve the needs of the rich and powerful. Through this program we will extend life for the most deserving among us.
As you say, the end justifies the means. The Final Solution began in 1973 with Roe v. Wade and progress has been fantastic. They don't suspect a thing.

This is the same logic used in the crusades when entire cities were massacred, even the Christians, with the thought that they're going to a better place, and the pagans are going to hell. Same logic used in the Inquisition and witch burnings (Christians go to heaven, so we're doing them a favor by killing them).
The logic still doesn't make sense. If God didn't want us to do something, then it would be impossible (like causing heat to transfer from something of lower energy to higher). We're just going to have to get by on our own sense of ethics and morality.

Roman Catholics are a group which have taught for centuries that aborted babies don't go to heaven.
Yet, Roman Catholics, as a group, are very pro-life.
Calvinists, as a group, teach that only babies who are part of the Elect go to heaven.
Yet most Calvinists, as a group, are pro-life.
The Bible tells us in Exodus chapter 21 that an unborn baby is a life and it tells us that if you accidently hit a pregnant woman and her baby dies, the one who hit her is to pay life for life.
Your agrument reminds me of Romans chapter six:
1What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? 3Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

People who say abortion is a sin don't really give a sh*t about real people, or care to empathize with people who actually are in the situation to make that choice. It's just another excuse for them to shove their doctrine down peoples' throats

hope you're prepared for some NASTY responses!!!
you've brought up a good point. same with the homosexual/pro-lifer paradox, you'd think they'd be natural allies because homosexuals never encounter an unwanted pregnancy that would lead to abortion.

#3: Many Christians (over 75% of them) don't know if aborted babies go to heaven. Either way, a christian obeys God who said that murder is wrong, and to love your neighbor as yourself.
