"god" was busy preparing the rainbow, you know... he sent noah a rainbow as a promise never to flood the earth ever again... riiiiight...

He was actively working to save as many people as he could, and keep them from being washed away.

I am shocked an appalled at all of you people who think that God takes joy in killing people. God no more killed them than nature did. If you want to know what I think, I believe they were the ones that chose to live near a major river that could flood it's banks. Geez, coming from the plains, we know that only people who don't think it out neglect to work on their waterways and live right on the banks.

Anyhow, I am glad that many more didn't die, and mourn the loss of the four that did.

Same place he always is. Just because bad things happen, doesn't mean that God is nonexistent or evil. Read the story of Joseph in the Bible. Redemption through suffering.

God does not cause or prevent good or bad things happening. He does observe how those of us that who survive react to tragedies.

How have you helped those affected by this natural disaster?

and the Indian Ocean Tsunami?
