You have no proof of your accusations. You will see the Son of Man in all His glory and you will bow down. Until then..you will remain in darkness.
P.S. You haven't learned squat.

This forum contains the most fervent and the most subtle bigotry I have ever seen by anonymous persons for the sake of disinformation and inciting racial hatred. (it's can have a domino effect in some cases and then becomes real )
The CLEVEREST RELIGIOUS BIOGOTS AND DISINFORMTION AGENTS are very effective at this they also hold extra identities that they use to subtly propose the most ludicrous notions from the opposing point of view to their own to discredit the other opinions and get people to form thier opinion or for incitement of racial hatred. some of these identities are very well disguised so even perusal of the profile takes a while to let you know!
when you let everyone play together someone always goes and spoils it for the others.
your statements put you roundly and squarely in the "possibly a clever anti-christian disinformation agent".category
I certainly wouldn't accept many of the things you say
you have LEARNED - approximately how much time have you spend in research outside of what people within here say to have made these assumptions.
You could also be the victim of deliberate disinformation.
The only value here is people's opinions if you want fact go to Wikipedia or Encarta!
Certainly there is no mention in the Wikipedia entry on 'the bible' about it being a work of creative writing that is a misleading statement - the bible was touched up in certain places for certain reasons but on Y!A You'd think it was totally rewritten and thuis proved the invalid of chrisianity!

I have confirmed what I aleady knew. Most professing Christians have not read and studied the Bibles that they do have, their belief are a mixture of pagan practices and Biblical rethoric. They have no idea where the doctrines of Sunday, Xmas, Easter, rapture, hell, infant baptism and others really come from.
That is the problem with your question. You do the Bible an injustice by your statements. It is not the Bible that is wrong , it is the practices that are not and were never based on the Bible.
I have studied the origins of the Bible, not extensively, but enough to know that there are some difficulties. The problem is that the theme in the Hebrew and Christian scriptures is consistent from Genesis to Revelations. Even in the Jewish Tanakh you find it is consitent with the OT translations of the Christians. And the Tanakh was religiously and meticulosly copied over all the centuries by the Jews, except they hid the name of God to keep Him from being blasphemed
We are talking about a book that took thousands of years to compile. Literal interpretations of the greek and hebrew are pretty difficult for us to read. Rather than "ceative writing" it is better defined as "technical writing", as it is meant to be and instruction manuel for how to live.
Is there theological bias? Yes, of course. When a King is paying your way to do a new translation you would be tempted to take some liberties to appease your benefactor, hence we have a book called "James". Does that invlaidate the message in the book? No, it does not. It makes studying one version dangerous though.
All in all, the continued petty attacks on the Bible by unbelievers gets to be tiresome, since most of them really have no idea, just like most christians, what they are talking about.

God you people amaze me. What's the matter this morning, are there no atheists on line? You people have to attack someone so you go after each other.
I have learned a lot about Christianity on R/S. I know there are many wonderful intelligent Christians but on here they are in the minority. I see hate, bigotry, and judgment spouted based on some idiotic fictional book because you think you are superior to all others who think differently, or live differently.
I will NEVER return to Christianity and I thank God for revealing the truth about it to me.
I am confident that many of the more intelligent Christians will learn from you also and they may rethink if they wish to worship that biblical monster you call God.

Yes, I have learned a lot about Christians in yahoo; that's why I like them less than ever. One thing is certain: they certainly don't like be confronted with facts, such as those that you mentioned. Keep up the good work.

Yes, I have learned a lot about them. I have learned that many (not all) will follow blindly who ever they perceive as a leader. I have learned that they have a very, very negative view of humanity as a whole in that they see us all as inherently evil and corrupt. I have learned that fear is truly the mind killer and how it causes people to give up their free will on the off chance that they may be granted the improbable prize of eternal bliss. I have learned much from them and continue to learn more daily.

I've learned that people who are not Christians have no idea, like yourself, how the Bible was compiled and edited.

Yeah, they only parrot off what their pastors are telling them about the bible. Many (if not most) Christians have not even read the entire bible, because, in doing so, would probably "convert" to atheism. I have a couple of friends that were pretty fervant in their beliefs until they actually read the bible. Then, they saw all the contradictions, and blood, and many other issues, and decided they COULDN'T believe it any more, even if they want to. It's that whole, once you know something you can't unknow it, thing.

If you're using Yahoo R&S as a gauge of "many Christians" I think you need a serious reality check.
This is hardly a representative cross-section of ANY population. It's just the folks who happen to a) use the internet, b) use Yahoo!Answers, c) are comfortable posting their opinions and ideas in Y!A, and d) may or may not be serious about what they post.
Don't make the mistake in thinking that this is "reality". It's not. It's the internet. If you want to form an opinion about "many Christians", go meet some IN PERSON.

It would seem that the notion of the Bible being the word of god is more important than the fact that he didn't write it in English.

Grace (not law) unto you, and peace (not division),
from God our Father and the Lord Jesus -> Christ.
Yer avatar is interesting & revealing: 'scape-goat'.
It puts you among: scape-goats -vs- dumb-sheep.
Such is not up-right, but up-left of them -vs- them,
and such is a draw back to perdition in Heb 10:39,
of those called high-mindead in dividead "heavens".
Above "know not" children vs children is mature-ity.
Above "know not" servants vs servants is free-dom.
Christ-ianity is about "Christ: is the end of the law",
which is about the end of law imputed sin & death.
The REASON: so none perish instead of all perish.
Jesus-ianity is about "division" and not peace.
Christ-ianity is about "peace" and not dividead
Peace with God is "THROUGH Jesus->Christ".
For God is the author of peace, not of division.
Jesus-ianity is about alienating the world: division(spirits).
Christ-ianity about reconciling the world: unity of the Spirit.
To WIT, that God was in "Christ" RECONCILING the world.
Which (law/grace) things are "allegory" & "mystery" to solve.
You solve an allegoric mystery by seek & find allegory clues.
Seek and find also have clarifiers, of what to seek & to find.
If you seek division, you too can dble kiss yer @ss bye bye.
If you seek unity, get yer head out of @ss, put it on shoulders.
That God is light(only) declared the END from the beginning:
Let there be LIGHT(ONLY)--->and there was LIGHT(ONLY):
The GRACE(ONLY) of our Lord Jesus->Christ with you->all. Amen. (Pst: grace is "with" you all; law was "against" you all)
