and insist she's still 100% Christian?!?! Aren't they mutually exclusive? Here's the story:

And the bigger question is: why doesn't the Episcopal Church see it's in trouble? Is it REALLY that blind to the fact that it's lost its "first love" and is in total disobedience to Christ? First it ordained an actively gay man as Bishop; now it permits actively Muslim clergy. What's next: active serial killers as clergy?

Pretty girl: yes, but Christianity flatly rejects the notion that Muhammad was a prophet; it also rejects the majority of Islam's teachings about Jesus, most notably that He didn't die on the cross. If He didn't die, then He didn't atone for our sins, which would render Christianity into a lie. So you can see why we have a *problem* with Islam. Don't you have a *problem* with a Muslim convert who holds to Christian beliefs?

"Calmness," my question doesn't compare the two as being equal -- if you re-read what I wrote, you'll see that I'm flabbergasted by the tolerance for open sin within the Church. I do not mean any disrespect toward you as a Muslim, but a Christian who converts to Islam and stays an Episcopalian priest is living in open sin -- no different than the open sin of the gay Bishop they ordained a few years ago. My point was: what open sin will the Episcopals tolerate next -- MURDER?

Gratvol: LOL, I was actually thinking the same thing a few minutes ago! But the way Christians are to deal with this type of scenario is given in the Scriptures and I'm completely frustrated that God is being ignored by this "Church."

Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Sweet justice Hurray! Welcome to the club sister, as an Orthodox Jew I dealt more then once with my share of Judeo Christians who called themselves "complete" Jews. Now, I see that Muslims are using the same tactics learned from the Christians in bringing Christians unto the true path, the path to submission to Allah. So, sister now you know how we feel about Judeo Christians using our faith in order to convert the Jews.
I cannot help but to applaud this sweet justice.

But if I can become serious for the moment and express my shock at this whole issue. Firstly, how can the church allow her to continue with this charade and encourage her to do so? Secondly, what has happened to the Christian church? If one is to look at the past 1000 years most Europeans and Americans were happy to call themselves Christians and fought wars to expand their faith, often at expense of human lives (Jews, Gypsy's, pagans, Muslims, and Native Americans), but now the church is weak and pathetic for allowing clergy to behave like that. Everyday, I lose respect for Christianity and I am not even Christian. Liberals have taken hold of synagogues and churches and have perverted the faith by allowing homosexual priests, rabbis, and everything else that are clearly prohibited by the faith. I fear that Islam will dominate the world if trends such as this continue.
I am not saying that we should become fanatical in our observances, but we should adhere to tradition and doctrine when it comes to services. After all, when you come to synagogue or a church it has to be a house of worship and not a circus.

There are a lot of strange things, and you can find one that will do anything, that being said, the Episcopalians are in disarray.
Why would Muslims not believe that Jesus was Divine, but still believe that he will return?
I studied Islam for two years but remained Christian, I could never accept that Jesus was not Divine, or that Muhammad was a true prophet.
Peace!

Youre very preposterous question actually compares 'active muslim clergy' to 'active serial killing'.
I will consider this a sign of your ignorance as far as what Islam stands for.
Her case is a rare one. But I can relate to it. Because Islam recognizes Jesus and Moses and all those who came before them as men of the One God. Their messages being the same albeit wrongly interpreted over time.
Thus, I can understand her concern to remain a clergy in the Christian church and still be Muslim.
As it is, the concept of original sin and the death of Christ was not particulary TAUGHT by Jesus Christ.
These were concepts that were emphasized much later and made to seem like he was meant to die. If he was meant to die for your sins, I reckon he would have said so the minute he was old enough to and I reckon he would have looked forward to it every day of his life before the actual crucifiction.

Maybe they should disconnect from the Anglicans and join the Unitarians. If the christomuslim mixed belief is acceptable they must have strayed so far from the faith as put their salvation into doubt, and are surely becoming a vehicle of deception more than salvation. Doubtless they are wanting to seem politically correct. It was a very conservative denomination at the start of the 20C !

It's simple. Episcopalian are not and have not been 100% Christian for some years. It doesn't surprise me that they also have women priest that can also be Muslim since they have a gay bishop.
Mainstream Christianity will continue its slide into cultural diversity, depravity and denial of the the very gospel they purport to preach. I only pray that our true brothers and sisters in Messiah in the churches will wake up and flee the prostitute before they are taken down with her. Come out of her my people! Repent! The Kingdom of God is at hand!

LOL I am a follower of Jesus (Peace be upon him) I am an ex-Christian now Muslim. But that does not mean I do not believe in Jesus (peace and blessings be upon him). I can say I love Jesus and if you do not believe in Jesus (PBUH) you are not a Muslim! Did you know that he is mentioned more times by name in the Quran than prophet Mohammed and that he will return?
Love,
M

I guess if a person can practice Christianity and be 100% Jewish
Then a person can pratice Islam and be 100% Christian.
Enjoy!

Muslims believe in all phrophets.
They believe in your Christ too.
I know that they reject but may they say they are Christian as the same time of being Muslim is that because they beleive in Christ.

Open your eyes a bit? Islam and Christianity are more similar than the followers of both would like to believe.
The constant "ew I'm not like you, my religion is the right one" attitude over minor details in scripture really shows how immature religion is.
