These two scriptures state water baptism saves you. If one rejects it,they are coming against God's will (plan) for their lives. They are actually doing their souls disservice, allowing
their decision to put a curse on them. Water baptism is how the actual Blood of Jesus is applied using the singular name.
John 3:5 Jesus stated you cannot get into heaven without water baptism and be filled with his Spirit. Every human being has to do it his way. Any other way is in vain. Our God will not Bless it.

I heard Dennis Prager mention this on the radio today, and I think he's right. He said there are atheists, and then there are those who are anti-religion.

What do you think?

i am a pakistani woman born in a islamic family and rejected islam at a very young age and had the privilage to move to a wonderful country like australia.

i can honestly tell you that australian culture is highly evolved , free and humane. and i am not afaid to openly say that islamic cultures are barbaric, why,

because they denegrate women and violate human rights

so does it mean that speaking out against injustice, cruelty and barbarity makes one a racist?

"My children are not coerced to go to my church. They can go to any church so long as I approve and they are same beliefs as my own"

Sound familiar? This is religion!

in public schools, if it was proven that children who believe in a god (no specific religion) are less likely to commit crimes?

Would you, as a parent put asside your own beliefs about an existing or non existing God for the safety of your child?

Of all the contradictions and inconsistencies in the Bible, few make more of a mess of things than the four accounts of the crucifixion and resurrection as given in the four gospels.
Here we have a single narrative, told by four different authors, that is so contradictory that I've never seen an explanation of it. It will be interesting to see the fundamentalists untangle this mess. For the sake of brevity, we'll just pick up the story on that first Easter Sunday:
When the sun was coming up (MT 28:1) while it was still dark (JN 20:1), Mary Magdalene (JN 20:1) or Mary Magdalene and the other Mary (MT 28:1) or "the women" [note the plural] (LK 24:1) went to the tomb. There was an earthquake, and an angel came down and rolled the stone away (MT. 28:2) from the entrance of the tomb and sat on it, even though it had apparently already been rolled away when Mary Magdalene had got there (JN 20:1, MK 16:4, LK 24:2).

SINGAPORE: The Internal Security Department (ISD) has arrested an ex-lecturer whom it said had made plans to pursue "militant jihad" in Afghanistan.

Abdul Basheer s/o Abdul Kader, 28, was arrested in February this year, said a Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) statement on Friday.

He is a "self-radicalised Singaporean", said the statement.
...
According to the MHA, Abdul Basheer began to develop militant jihad ideas in late 2004, after being affected by the radical discourse he read on the Internet.

He was then a lecturer in an educational institution, after having practised law upon his graduation from a university.
In October 2006, he left for an unnamed Middle Eastern country where he planned to live for two years, learning Arabic so that he could communicate with "mujahidin" fighters.

But within two months, he had decided to embark on "militant jihad" immediately.

I hear a lot of Christians say that since God loves us so much he gave us free will so we could choose to be with him in heaven or to not be with him and go to hell.Basically we can choose between good and evil.Again my question comes from Genesis and the story of th tree of knowledge. It was the devil who tempted adam and eve into eating from the tree and thus they gained knowledge of good and evil. Now, one cannot make a choice in one direction when they only know about the choices in another (You cannot choose a hot dog over a burger if you have no knowledge of the existence of hot dogs). Before eating from the tree of knowledge adam and eve had no knowledge of good and evil and therefore would not be able to make a choice between one or the other. Since without choice there's no free will and the devil tempted adam and eve into eating from the tree thus giving them knowledge of the choices they could make (good and evil) couldn't it be said that the devil gave us free will not god?

Over the course of my life...things have happened that make me wonder about 'signs' of something. Doesn't neccesarily mean God or Heaven....just 'something', perhaps destiny and fate.

Well, a couple of years ago, my stepmother gave me a Gone With The Wind watch that played Tara's theme. She told me that once the battery in it is dead, it can't be replaced.

Well, she passed away this year from cancer. But the watch also died. The hands don't tick anymore, though the song still plays but very distorted.

Coincidence? Or something else?

(please no mean answers honestly...it's not even been 2 months since she passed away so I'm being serious about this and not poking any fun, please be serious in return.)

If your a Jehovah and you leave a sarcastic response you just prove my point......YOUR AFRAID of the Truth.

I am a christian and I am very goal orineted and sad to say don't know that much about heaven other than because of what Jesus did on the cross he set me free from sin and death.

When people would tell me this world is not your home your rewards are in heaven I would get very upset because shouldnt we have good things on earth too?

But as I get older and more mature and seasoned in the Lord
I realize I need to seek first the Kingdom of God.

I look forward to going to heaven someday and I will see my beloved pastor who was the best man in our wedding and took the time to love and disciple me I miss him so much.

Do you know what heaven will be like? What are some good easy to understand Bible verses about Heaven?

Thank you and God bless you.
