i am a pakistani woman born in a islamic family and rejected islam at a very young age and had the privilage to move to a wonderful country like australia.
i can honestly tell you that australian culture is highly evolved , free and humane. and i am not afaid to openly say that islamic cultures are barbaric, why,
because they denegrate women and violate human rights
so does it mean that speaking out against injustice, cruelty and barbarity makes one a racist?

No, I don't think so. When the blacks are the ones running the crack houses in my neighborhood and 90% of all other crimes, it makes me a racist too when ever I mention it. So I guess I'll start saying "other than white people run the crack houses"

Some people can't see past PC to the truth.
Freedom IS better than oppression.
Democracy IS better than tyranny.
Enlightenment IS better than fundamentalism.
I had a lovely, gentle, intelligent Pakistani girl for a student a few years back. If horrifies me that she could have ended up like those poor little girls the imams locked in their burning school to die rather than allow them out in public without their burkas.
But what's really sad is that those same imams are the inheritors of a culture that once taught the world the foundations of geometry, algebra, glassmaking, and metallurgy. THAT is what religious fundamentalism can do to a country!
Take heed. Have a free thought today in protest of all who would chain you.

Speaking out against injustice, cruelty and barbarity doesn't make you a racist. Limiting your judgement arbitrarily to one culture and ignoring all the injustice, cruelty and barbarism of the cultures you approve of DOES make you a racist.

Racism is a very sensitive topic and people are very alert to it. They can't really see what position you're coming from and so they misinterpret your words. Also, speaking one's mind is something people often feel threatened by.

Islam isn't a race. To what extent it is reasonable to separate islamic culture from the culture of the countries it is practised, I don't know.

Religion has nothing to do with Racism. You can choose any religion you want to follow. Racism occurs mainly because of skin colors.

I think it is great when anyone establishes his own beliefs, not just following family tradition

No it doesn't, but unfortunately speaking out on these things, won't change them. But go ahead, let your feelings be known.
