Which is the life more worth living: One in which the person is simple minded and seemingly ignorant to the world around them or a life in which a person struggles to make a point, restless in the sorrows of an ever present conflict in beliefs and constantly pushing the limits in society?

I'm asking about if you believe in adaptation...and if you don't, why not?

note: this is not exactly the same as evolution. So let's keep the evolution debate elsewhere...we all got enough doses of that debate.

Isn't it like you are only good at philosophy on the paper/arguing about god/knowledge than theists/religious people?

In the real world, religious people are more good to others than you. They behave morally, though they may not be as smart as you about knowledge/argument/science. You use all your intelligence to justfy your immoral actions in the real world.

(apology to the exceptions on both sides)

can one make the Christian god his first priority but still worship Zeus as a secondary one? Is that okay as long as he has no graven image of Zeus?

how come Jesus turned water into wine? How come we were told to drink wine in remembrance of the blood which he shed for our sins? I am Mormon and I don't understand why they replaced the wine with water when it's in the bible that they drank wine at the last supper.

The Bible specifically allows for it. The only "rule" written about it is that it's wrong to marry two sisters since they'll compete for attention.

Nearly every Biblical patriarch was a polygamist. God blessed them and multiplied their children because of it. Some of them were even commanded by God to take more wives.

Is polygamy a sin if the Bible endorses it and there's not a single verse in the Bible that condemns it?

Why do you Christians put their faith in a book written 2000 years ago and translated a thousand times?

Remember the game as kids where you would wisper into someones ear and then they would wisper into someone else's ear and so on. By the time it got through 20 kids it was a totally different sentence.

So how could the Bible be correct in the year 2007?

So let's look at the Bible from the angle that Christians do; that a main character in the Bible is all powerful, all-knowing, and all-loving. So let's look at one passage; Judges 1:19, and see if what it says fits into the concept of a God that can do anything.

"The LORD was with the men of Judah. They took possession of the hill country, but they were unable to drive the people from the plains, because they had iron chariots."

Doesn't this mean that the Christian God CAN'T do everything, because he couldn't beat an army with iron chariots? Your thoughts, please.

The bible only tells God's side of the story. What do you think would happen if there was a book that told Lucifer's side of the story? Is there anyone here who would read such a book, who would be willing to consider such a view point, to look at it with an open mind? After all there is always more than one side to every story. And How can anyone claim to understand anything about any story if they only know one side of it? We have God's side, what about Lucifer's?

Talking serpents, humans trying to get smarter then getting punished, Cain and Abel sleeping with Mother Eve since no one else was around and I could on on. Why read the rest of it since this book already shot down the credibilty of the rest of the text?
