Hate is not good for the heart and I have nothing to do with it... No matter what, I leave that sentiment to one who can handle it such as the God of pure Love, Wisdom, Power and Justice... as for me, I don't think I could hate if my life depended on it... I somehow believe that any human could and would be good if it weren't for Satan's influence and I can't judge what anyone does or says. I may not like what some people do but I certainly won't allow myself to go as far as to hate anyone... as I would then become the slave of that one... which would rob me of my joy! No one is worth doing that to you, are they? I'd rather keep that peace of God that excels all thought in my heart and mind and leave the hating to others... Even though some people have hated me, I could never retaliate as it would make me feel bad and I believe that how we feel is a matter of choice... We decide if we'll feel good or not and I chose to feel good... which isn't that easy while hating! Furthermore, why hold a grudge. We'd be home nursing it while the object of that grudge is out dancing? I just don't see the sense of it! If we are to love even our enemy, as Jesus asked us to do, what room for hate does it leave? Take care and watch over your heart... It is precious! Too precious to let "hate" for anyone rob it of anything. Remember that before any feeling is an idea... We must entertain good ideas to feel the best that we can feel at all times. It becomes a way of life! A good way I might add!

This question hits home bigtime for me. I will answer as honest as I can with out getting into detail. You can love the person but hate the sin or wrong doing the person does to you. It's a catch 22 sometimes but, it takes a big heart to be able to love the person and hate the sin and know the difference!

Actually the opposite of Love is indifference. Both love and hate imply a relationship of some sort. One can love an enemy by choosing to do so. Love of this kind is not 'affection', it is only the desire to wish the best for that person and put them in God's hands and let go of the pain that binds the two of you. Good luck.

You cannot love someone while hating. It is either you love or hate. You know the song 'I hate myself for loving you' Well its a confuse statement. If you love god then you will surely hate satan. You cannot say I Iove the truth, and don' mind lies. Example: You can say I love someone deeply, but not, I hate I love you so much.

The answer lies within you. Determine the reason(ing) for your hate and then judge yourself based on those values, you'll often find that you hate most in others what you dislike about yourself.
And yes, they are one and the same, just as right and wrong and good and evil are the same, relatively speaking.

Love is something you do; not necesarily feel like doing. Read 1 Corinthians 13 (the love chapter).

you don't understand the concept here.
you're not marrying your enemies.
you're forgiving them, caring for them, not taking revenge, no matter how sweet it is...
