Isn't it like you are only good at philosophy on the paper/arguing about god/knowledge than theists/religious people?
In the real world, religious people are more good to others than you. They behave morally, though they may not be as smart as you about knowledge/argument/science. You use all your intelligence to justfy your immoral actions in the real world.
(apology to the exceptions on both sides)

Leave philosophy (and bible) out for some time.
And see empirically who are more moral.

Ah well first you'd need to prove that atheists are in fact immoral
You must have some evidence to prove this I mean it's not that US jails are packed with believers are they?

Im Christian but I don't think they are morally better. Alot of moral people are not religious. If your athiest it doesn't mean your immoral at all. I always like to think both ways in all situations. Religious people justify there actions with there beliefs. For example some people kill other people for there religion. To them it is justified. Of course I can't say that all people are like that, but a few are. It really all depends on what is morally right? Who decides. Different religions have different morals. Not all athiests argue there ideas to religious people. In general there is a moral code that everyone follows though. Athiest or not, everyone knows that lying, stealing, cheating, killing, etc. is immoral. Religious people can also be as inteligent in knowledge. But also, I think religious people should be more moral than those who are not religious but they are not. To me in general they are about the same. Once agian, the rules in morality is different in different religions. Like in Christianity, they don't say you should do good works, but good works are what is produced when you follow Christianity. Also something Moral or Immoral in a religion might not be in another. I know I kinda left the topic a little, sorry. I just try not to be biased. I might have been. Not sure. But of course I used the general use for morality. The most immoral thing for me might be different for someone else that is not Christian.

I'm sorry... but your statement "In the real world, religious people are more good to others than you." is in no way accurate, but is only your opinion (and that of other religionists, no doubt).
That you have to rely on the bible and god to influence your decisions, pray that you make the right choices, etc., means that you NEED that being in order to be moral.
I, on the other hand, practice moral behavior because it's just the right thing to do. I don't need to pray to god to help me be moral... I just am, all by myself, without supernatural intervention.
You say to leave the bible and philosophy out of it but your entire premise is based on the bible (the word of god) and philosophy (morality) so you want me to debate an issue without letting me use the very tools you, yourself, are using? Nice.
And the fact that the overwhelming majority of prison inmates identify as Christian speaks volumes to me. Atheist makes up the lowest percentage. You do the math.

Erm, all I can say to you is not all christians are moral and not all atheists are immoral. I know christians who swear, drink, smoke and do all those nasty stuff to but I don't. I do not, to my best of knowledge harm anyone or scold anyone for what they believe in. But I see many religios people right here on Y!A scolding atheists and calling them sinners. I just say nobody has any right to condemn others about their believes in a rude or non-constructive way. I hope such people will change for the better.

I take exception to your bias. I am neither atheist nor Christian. I have read the bible through, cover to cover, more than once. I do a lot of charity work, I abide by laws, I'm not unreasonably rude, and I AM NOT A CHRISTIAN. If the bible disappeared tomorrow and no one remembered it ever existed, I would still be a moral person. And I find this true of the average person regardless of their belief or disbelieve in your GOD! You, on the other hand are appallingly rude, and quite frankly the most immoral person I've seen on this forum! You are judgemental and hateful.

Ahem. So if this was true there should be a higher proportion of atheists in jails than they make up in the general population, and fewer Christians than there are in the general population. So why are the atheists so abysmally poorly represented in prisons.
If you are an American Christian you are 23 time more likely to end up in a federal penitentiary than your atheist neighbor.
The largest private charity in the world was created by an atheist (B, Gates). The largest donation ever made to a religious charity was by an atheist (W. Buffet).
I think you should think over your attitude towards atheists a bit.

Ermm... why assume that most atheists are not moral people? You seem to believe that immorality is the norm for Atheists. At any rate, I've seen many more immoral actions justified by religion than by Atheism. Wonder why that is?

I'm a Christian and I disagree with this. I find people in church tend to be more judgemental, hypocritical, and unreal in their entire delisionment of what they portray as their existence in God.
Read Romans 3. http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=romans%203;&version=51;
I think you will find we are all sinners and fallen short of God's glory and He's pissed about it. Our only hope is to honor God, love everyone else and pray every moment we get.
Atheists. I understand why you don't believe in God. All I can say is my life has changed so dramatically for the good since I asked Jesus in my heart that I cannot deny Him.

You must only be observing the good Christians and the bad Athiests. That's called selective observation. The difference between Athiest with morals and Christians with morals is that Athiests don't need a reason to be nice, or to have morals, we just do.

"In the real world, religious people are more good to others than you."
Are they? And you have the evidence to back this up I assume?
I think you are being prejudiced. My observation is that in the real world of which you speak, people are people, regardless of faith. Step off the high horse for a moment and you might see more clearly.
Apology not accepted. You know you are being rude and judgmental, or you would not feel the need to apologize.
