SINGAPORE: The Internal Security Department (ISD) has arrested an ex-lecturer whom it said had made plans to pursue "militant jihad" in Afghanistan.
Abdul Basheer s/o Abdul Kader, 28, was arrested in February this year, said a Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) statement on Friday.
He is a "self-radicalised Singaporean", said the statement.

According to the MHA, Abdul Basheer began to develop militant jihad ideas in late 2004, after being affected by the radical discourse he read on the Internet.
He was then a lecturer in an educational institution, after having practised law upon his graduation from a university.
In October 2006, he left for an unnamed Middle Eastern country where he planned to live for two years, learning Arabic so that he could communicate with "mujahidin" fighters.
But within two months, he had decided to embark on "militant jihad" immediately.

What the majority of the world has not realised or refuse to admit is that these 2 intelligent men are NOT just jihadists, they are TRUE MUSLIMS.
A true muslim as accorded by the Islamic Qur'an IS A TERRORIST. Anyone who says otherwise is a LIAR. These 2 men recieved the true terrorist dogma from Islam, unlike the majority of muslims amongst us who receive half-baked stories from their local Imams and continues to live in denial.
If you think terror can be prevented by having 'moderate' imams, you're mistaken cos Moderate Muslim = Fake Muslim.
For humanity and civilisation to be safe, Islam must be Banned. There is no other way out.

No, I don't. Some Muslims forget how the Qur'an tells them to act, and they distort the true meaning of the word jihad. I love my religion and take it very seriously, but I am not extreme in my beliefs or practices, nor will I ever be.
