I am a christian and I am very goal orineted and sad to say don't know that much about heaven other than because of what Jesus did on the cross he set me free from sin and death.

When people would tell me this world is not your home your rewards are in heaven I would get very upset because shouldnt we have good things on earth too?

But as I get older and more mature and seasoned in the Lord
I realize I need to seek first the Kingdom of God.

I look forward to going to heaven someday and I will see my beloved pastor who was the best man in our wedding and took the time to love and disciple me I miss him so much.

Do you know what heaven will be like? What are some good easy to understand Bible verses about Heaven?

Thank you and God bless you.

I've always thought that Heaven will be alot like earth..only much more perfect..the way the earth was intended to be before sin entered into the world. Everything will be beautiful and perfect. I think we will still have things to do but life will be completely happy. We'll like the jobs we have to do. We wont have any obnoxious ppl to deal with so life wont be so stressful. I dont believe we'll all be walking around in white robes and singing all day long. Animals will be tame. Lions will lay down by lambs. The streets will be made of gold. The Lord doesnt tell us exactly how wonderful it will be but this world still has places that are absolutely beautiful and Heaven will be much better than that! I know that we will all have a mansion because the Lord says He has gone to prepare a place for each of us. So we'll all have homes beyond belief! The same Lord that created the earth is preparing Heaven for us! I cant wait!

Heaven is both a country (Luke 19:12; Heb. 11:14-16) and a city (Heb. 11:16; 12:22; 13:14; Rev. 21:12). A country is typically a large territory of various geographies, with citizens of diverse cultures and vocations, sometimes even languages, under one government that provides a common identity. A city is a place of many residences in near proximity. A city's inhabitants are subject to the common government. Cities usually have varied and bustling activity, community events, education, arts, and visitors.

Heaven is and will be a place of great beauty, both natural created beauty and architecture, including streets of gold and buildings of pearls and emeralds and precious stones (Rev. 21:19-21). Heaven will have the advantages we associate with earthly cities, without the disadvantages (e.g. crime, pollution, corruption).

Heaven's gates will always be open. People will travel in and out, some bringing treasures into the city (Rev. 21:24-25; 22:14). Travel outside the city shows that the city is not the whole of heaven, but merely its center. The great city is the capital of an endless empire, called a heavenly country (Heb. 11:16). There is a universe outside the city's gates, to which its citizens have free access. Cities are characterized by visitors coming in and occupants going out for various reasons.

The parable of the minas Luke 19:11 - 17 (not the talents) tells about rewards for heaven. There are also 5 different crowns.....which Revelation talks about we cast our crowns at the feet of Jesus. The Lamb's book of life is mentioned....and there are other books mentioned. And there are those that have gone before us that will be there...those we knew and the Apostle Paul, Mary Magdalene, etc....
And no more tears Isa 25:8 He will swallow up death forever. The Sovereign LORD will wipe away the tears from all faces; he will remove the disgrace of his people from all the earth. The LORD has spoken.
So much more that we can imagine, which is probably why
Mercy Me wrote a song about Heaven, it's called, "I can only imagine."

If you read Revelation 21 + 22 , you will read about Heaven. "New Jerusalem comes down out of Heaven from God" at Jesus' Second Coming. It is this New Jerusalem where Jesus reigns and rules . It gives it's dimensions and describes it. We will eat from the Tree of Life which stands on each side of the River of the Water of Life. It yields 12 crops of fruits every month. The tree's leaves are for healing of the nations. We won't need the sun or moon, for the glory of God gives us light with Jesus it's lamp. There will be animals in this New Jerusalem and they will all be tame. No more curses. We will have new bodies that will live forever. We will be the same person, recognize others and live in a perfect, peaceful place. Our rewards are in Heaven. We receive crowns that we will lay at Jesus' feet. We do have abundant living here on earth, given by Jesus who promised us this. God bless you too.

Here are a few scriptures that describe what heaven will be like.

Luke 20:36
"And in that life, people will never die, but will be like the angels who live forever. They're God's children because they've been saved and raised from the dead."

1 Corinthians 15:50
"What I'm trying to tell you, my brothers, is that sinful human flesh and blood, as it is now, cannot be admitted into the kingdom of God. Sin cannot be admitted to a place that is pure, where there is no sin."

Revelation 7:17
"The Lamb who is before the throne will be their Shepherd and will feed them. He will lead them to springs of life-giving water, and God Himself will wipe away all tears from their eyes."

Revelation 22:14,15
"Blessed are those who have washed their robes in my blood and kept my commandments. This is what gives them the right to the Tree of Life and to enter through the gates into the city." "But outside the city are those who, like snarling dogs, have practiced sorcery, murdered, been immoral, worshiped their idols and loved to tell lies."

Here are a few more scriptures that will describe more in detail how It will be.

Mat. 22:30; Revelation 21:4; Revelation 22:3; Matt. 25:46, Rev. 22:5; Luke 15:7,10; Rev. 14:13; 2 Pet. 3:13; Rev. 7:15; Matt. 5:11,12; 1 Pet. 1:4; Rom. 8:17,18.

My belief:

The order of Heaven is much like the order of earth, only perfected.

We will be organized with our families, those who have gone before us and those yet to come.

There are animals, vegetation, oceans, mountains, and all forms of nature as we know it, but without Satan's influence, everything will be perfect. Things won't die......they will be in their natural beauty forever.

If I tell you my religion, you may shy away, but the church that I belong to is the only one that has ever answered my questions and makes perfect sense to me. It all seems so logical.

Why else would the Lord allow us to form family ties here on earth if we were not allowed to continue those relationships forever?

If you are interested, there is a great book called "Life After Death". It is a compilation of near death experiences by people who have almost died and have seen a glimpse of the eternities.

heaven? paradise?

its like nothing that the eye has seen, what the ears have heard or what the heart has ever desired

the ultimate blessing in paradise is the knowledge that God is pleased with what you have done

things get better and better= the concept of diminishing marginal benefit does not exist.

space seems limitless compared to our standards as the lowest amongst them will have something greater than what the heavens and earth in terms of space and contents

if you can believe in it, even though you have never seen it, or been given proof that it exists, you will benefit from that belief and you will work hard, doing what God has ordered you to believe - in Him and in no other, and to NOT associate anything Created with the Creator, because if you do that- You will never learn what it is like to have a relationship with the Creator and you will confuse Creation with the Creator, and that is what will make your faith impure and corrupted

I believe that there is no god worthy of worship except Allah (GOD) and that Muhammad, peace be upon him, is God's final messenger and prophet.

And the athiest will ask, how do you know God exists though? my response is that the Quran proposes certain arguments about God and challenges its reader to disprove it and to disprove that God has done certain things and to disprove that the Quran is a miracle and divine. So did the prophet Muhammad. I cannot rebut them but i invite you to rebut them

The Bible is FULL of descriptions of Heaven, But I type slow.
Heaven is a physical place and we will have physical bodies(without the curse of sin) no death, sickness or disease.
The risen Christ said "Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see."
Martyrs wear clothes and have palm branches in their hands.(Revelation7:9)
Musical instruments in heaven( Rev. 8:6)
Read "Heaven" by Randy Alcorn. It is a beautiful picture of Heaven using Descriptions from the BIBLE.
