Christians: why is it so difficult to simply just attend a different church? when i was a catholic there never was a problem with it.
in the catholic community there was no belinging to one church and one church only. people were free to come and go as they pleased. church wasnt some club house that you needed to apply to...it was one church that had many, many chapters and houses...everyone was welcome regardless where you went.
so i really dont understand this whole thing about not going to other churches...really...as an ex catholic i dont udnerstand it.
its supposed to be a church...not a club. multiple buildings with one cause.
so get your sh!t together. sheesh!
you christians never cease to amaze me with how many ways you try to separate into little groups, just so yo ucan throw rocks at each other.
i am so freakin glad to be an atheist.

We have free will. I believe that when people reach a certain age of understanding then they should be able to choose what church is right for them. I don't really like the church I grew up in, therefore I am wanting to find a new one. This doesn't mean that I dislike my church in any way, it only means that I am getting nothing from it. It's the same repetitions every time.

Let you child explore their opportunities when I was little I went to a Catholic Church, Church of Christ, Baptist, and even when I got older I got to pick which Church I wanted to attend and I rode the Church bus there and all in all I chose to be a Baptist but, I got the experience from different Churches from Arkansas to Mississippi. as long as your child is making the right decision to even go to Church let her explore and have her own opinions about things in life.Your child does not have to believe the same as you I have been taken to a lot of different Churches I have nothing against different religion as long as it has to do with God and Jesus I just chose to be Baptist even though I have went to many different Churches. It is up to you though. Just wanted to give my opinion in the matter at question.

I won't let them go to other churches period. Jesus told us not to go near evils that will tempt us to stray away from His Father. When my child was an adult he can do as he feels he needs to, even if he lives in my house. But as a minor, he will attend church with me. That is how he will learn about God. Yet I do teach him world religions and cultures and art and such. I want him to be aware of what is in the world before he goes out into it.

sure, they're allowed to discover despite they want. At this age (2 and 3), they're too youthful to pass on their very own. We take them to church with us each and every Sunday, and ALL of my family members is Catholic, so they actually don't have every person to take them someplace else basically yet, yet whilst they're older in the event that they like to pass with friends, it incredibly is positive. I did attempt to get them into Jewish faith based day care (simply by fact it incredibly is a huge college) yet they have been already finished the 1st 300 and sixty 5 days i attempted, and we could no longer wait. even nevertheless i'm a non secular Catholic, I have not have been given any project with them being uncovered to different religions, and making the choice to % yet another whilst they're sufficiently old to realize this.

I encourage my children (4) to have a personal relationship with God. How they choose to display that relationship or enhance it through worship is up to them. I myself do not follow any particular denomination. They are adults by the way. When they were little, yes, they went to church with us.

It sounds not only reasonable, but wise to let them explore and become familiar with the varying practices of other religions.
