Sir John Bagot Glubb
“Khalif (Caliph) Al-Ma'mun's period of rule (813 - 833 C.E.) may be considered the 'golden age' of science and learning. He had always been devoted to books and to learned pursuits. His brilliant mind was interested in every form of intellectual activity. Not only poetry but also philosophy, theology, astronomy, medicine and law all occupied his time.”
“By Mamun's time medical schools were extremely active in Baghdad. The first free public hospital was opened in Baghdad during the Caliphate of Haroon-ar-Rashid. As the system developed, physicians and surgeons were appointed who gave lectures to medical students and issued diplomas to those who were considered qualified to practice. The first hospital in Egypt was opened in 872 AD and thereafter public hospitals sprang up all over the empire from Spain and the Maghrib to Persia.”

From which? To which "brand" of Christian? What drew you and what did you find? A fulfillment or negation or healing of what went before?

Any person who is going to live their life accordingly to a little book with rules, and have hatred of other human beings because of it disturbs me.

I am not trying to offend people, but I am seriously wondering why people cant think for themselves. It is the WORST thing in my mind to hate someone for something beyond their control, and for people who think being gay is a sin...I think hate is the true sin.

Refering to this 3rd paragraph artical,

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Ake6nTx9VL1XoCdTUTI4WA3sy6IX?qid=20070605181523AAZLTnC&show=7#profile-info-COTN2QoFaa

stated that

They are…… forcibly trying to convert people to Buddhism and forcing people to kneel down to declare Buddha is our god! Read about it

It's really ignorance write up. Who know nothing about Buddhism and claimed they know.

As far as I know,

There is no GOD in Buddhism.
Buddhism no worship to Buddha, given respect.
Buddhism no pray.
There is no central image ( like Jesus in Christin, Mohamad in Islam )

Anyone has better idea.

I asked two questions on here http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AojVaPDItSPTAPeJmi0u84nsy6IX?qid=20070604233418AAYQU51
and got many interesting answers, though not that convincing.

One of the answeres I recieved:
1)Jesus, God's son, manifested himself into human form and went down to earth, which is where he died. Yes, he is the supreme being, but that also means death isn't a limit for him. He can do anything, even die.
The death part is really not getting to me...If a God dies, then where would he go? He will return in three days, but how can life manage without a God for three days? Isn't God supposed to be with us at all times?

INDIA (Newsroom) – Six Christian missionaries participating in a gospel campaign called "Love Ahmedabad" were beaten so savagely in the state of Gujarat last week that one of the men may lose his arms and legs.

Members of the Hyderabad-based Operation Mobilization (OM) were distributing Bibles and religious tracts in Ahmedabad, about five miles from Gandhinagar, the capital of Gujarat, the afternoon of May 5 when they were attacked by members of the Hindu extremist groups Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP). Operation Mobilization ships tons of Christian literature around the country. The assailants also burned copies of the Bible and tracts.

Christian missionaries beaten in public for 'converting' Hindus

Television channels showed Hindu activists kicking and punching the two young priests while dragging them through Maharashtra's Kolhapur town.

News footage showed an activist knee one priest in the groin, making him double up in pain. Another kicked the missionary in the head. The crowd accused the priests of forcibly converting poor Hindus, and handed them over to police.

1 Timothy 2:4-6 (KJV)
4Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
5For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
6Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

Romans 8:34
Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

I want to hear outlooks that AREN'T the typical "you either go to heaven or hell" because that's not what I believe. Give me your own theory, not one that someone else decided for you.

Alot of you did not answer my previous question, with any justification, so I now ask this question, because religion, is a way you spend your life, and being in heaven (a positive place you spend your eternal life) does not necessarily require any religion at all. Again, please no hate answers, just detailed plans, that others can follow.

If they used it, would Atheists be less likely to consider Christians unintelligent?
