From which? To which "brand" of Christian? What drew you and what did you find? A fulfillment or negation or healing of what went before?

I have always been a believer in Jesus form my earliest memories but I have had a series of "conversion experiences". I believe that I experienced "initial justification and regeneration" at my infant Baptism an age 11days!That baptism was just the start of the pilgrimage of turning to Christ. May Christ continue to convert what needs transformation and strengthen in me and all that which is of Grace..

I converted over to Christianity from Atheism because the man who shared the gospel with me offered me a deal that I could not refuse. He told me that if I said the salvation prayer with him and that I was right, then I only wasted a few minutes of my life, but if he was right and that if I prayed the salvation prayer, then I would gain eternal life in Heaven. I am not much of a gambler so I decided to waste a few minutes. It was the best thing that I ever did. Afterwards, through the years, God has proved to me that He is God and that He is the God of the Bible and that there is no other.

I became a Christian at the age of 19 after being agnostic all of my life.

I was first drawn to Christianity through the teachings of Jesus. I felt from the beginning that he was the answer that I had been looking for. There were several things about mainstream Christianity that I wasn't sure about, so I began to study the religion's history and the history of The Bible. After doing that, I was able to come to my own conclusions about everything else and focus on applying the teachings of Christ to my life. I currently attend a Non-Denominational Church.

My parents were Christian and I resisted God until my late teen years. I experimented with witchcraft, naturalism and atheism, and was eventually called back to Christianity. But I never adopted all of my parents' beliefs and they had little to do with my conversion. When you start a relationship with God, he's the one who teaches you, not your parents. He may work through your parents, and your pastor, and other Christians, but it's his spirit within you that really convicts you of truth and falsehood. For example my parents never taught me that the earth is only 6,000 years old.. They believe in the old earth creation theory.. But I felt convicted towards the young earth belief. Some things are revealed by God to some and not to others. Again, it's a relationship. :)

I converted several friends from mormonism and from "nothing" to fundamental christianity. I primarily used the "4 spiritual laws" to get them to switch. They claimed at the time that they felt "relief, a plan for their lives" etc.

Since then, none of them really stuck with it. I am now an Atheist. A lot of it, in retrospect, is the "Sweeping Off Of Ones Feet" sensation that comes with any conversion (or "falling in love") experience.

I have a friend who converted from Hinduism to Christianity (to Protestantism), his whole family is Hindu though and now he wants to try to convert them too.
After learning about Christianity in high school through his friends he decided that Christianity made a lot more sense to him than Hinduism

At a non-denominational Christian church, I have personally known people that were "converted" that had previously been Hindu, Atheist, & Mormon.

I had an acquaintance that went from the Mormons to an Independent congregation. She said the Mormons lied to her. She died a year ago.
