I've been hearing nothing but "Atheists are infecting society!" from Christians and "Atheism is growing..." from fellow Atheists. Where can I get in on these statistics? I want to make my day a little happier so help me out here!

Not trying to start a hate question, just want a little justification from people on the inside of their own religion.

The thing is though is that the contrition must be perfect and how many of you think you have perfect contrition? So perfect you would rather die than ever sin again?

"So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen." (Matthew 20: 16). Since we are truly human by our failures, not by our perfections; as it is God who brings out the truth in us (not we by ourselves, or by our own efforts); why do people continue to write clever (so-called) answers on this board (and why do they get points for it)?

consider imaginary balance ( capable) , If we weigh one cm cube compressed earth and one cm3 of nothignness created ( nothign means nothign, not even vaccume, No space -no time) on the other side.

Which do you think will be heavier.

Think deeply please. Also to fuel your thinking i give you this point. See now if we add additional energy to that marble size earth cube, and compress it further, it also becomes nothing, and the nothing on the other side is already nothing.

This is very important for me to understand one Meditation material transformation concept.

Why do Protestants dislike Catholics? What is different about the 2 religions. Don't they both follow the same Bible and follow the same rules?

This breaks the second commandment. “You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; 5 you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,

Under God's direction, Moses' army defeats the Midianites. They kill all the adult males, but take the women and children captive as sex slaves. When Moses learns that they left some alive, he angrily says: "Have you saved all the women alive? Kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him. But all the female children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves." So they went back and did as Moses instructed, killing everyone except for the virgins. In this way they got 32,000 VIRGINS . ----(Numbers 31:1-54)

If you see a pretty woman among the captives and would like her for a wife, then just bring her home and "go in unto her." Later, if you decide you don't like her, you can "let her go." But don’t sell her on the open market. ---- (Deut 21:11-14)

The Tannaïtic Midrash Sifre to Numbers in §157 comments on the above quoted commandment of MOSES to kill the Midianite women as well as the male children...."

"....According to the Tannaïte Rabbis, MOSES therefore had ordered the Israelites to kill all women older than three years and a day, because they were [virgins and] "suitable for having sexual relations." [138]...."

"Said Rabbi Joseph, "Come and take note: A girl three years and one day old is betrothed by intercourse....."

Intercourse with 3 year old children was made legal for the Jews.

The word of God is living and active. Sharper than and double -edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Hebrews 4:12

God speaks to us- to teach us, guide us, comfort us.

So many Christians say that abortion is bad. Most of these people have never had abortions. They say don't knock it till you try it. I use to be really anti Burger King. Then I tried the Whopper and it was amazing. I is responcible for at least 3 abortions and I don't feel any negative effects.

When you say that you're a child of the earth, and I say that I'm the product of millions of years of evolution, that's not too far apart, right?

Both groups are often condemed by christians as well.

Thoughts?

I know of many people who have been christians, then a dramatic event in their life has shattered their faith completely.

When christians see this happen to others, do some of them develop anxiety that the same may happen to them?
