Public schools should not be segregated at all, period. Separate but equal is NEVER equal.
If children are raised in a relatively neutral environment with people of various faiths (and ethnicities and socio-economic backgrounds), the outcome is often that the children are more tolerant of others and more understanding of various viewpoints. It eliminates the "us vs. them" mentality that so often permeates our very divisive society. There is a common background of shared experience that can often follow them throughout their entire lives.

As people have already explained there are segregated schools by religion. We have choice and freedom!!! My kids have learned all sorts of faiths, cultures and interesting facts about all races, creeds..etc. I find they have more understanding and respect for others and embrace the differences... I teach them what I believe at home and they go to religious ed....but, I think the public school system is doing a wonderful job in teaching out children to open up to others and not be prejudice!!!
The only thing is I don't believe that they have a school for Atheist. I know there are Jewish, catholic etc..... That's what needs to be done so that the ATHEIST'S Will leave our PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE alone!!!!!! Oh, and our Money too 'In God We Trust'....

Wow. i did no longer comprehend racism replaced into returned. Why do no longer they segregate the scholars into communities that prefer extra effective help and those that don't? coloration has no longer something to do with it. human beings in simple terms anticipate blacks will fail so as that they do no longer attempt. they should take transport of a few credit. Segregation in simple terms ruins any danger.

Schools are segregated by religion. Private schools are run by religious and other organizations and depend on themselves to raise funds, while public schools are run by the government.
Private schools are better, though.

There are religiously segregated schools. They are called private/parochial schools. If you're speaking of public schools, then no. Separation of Church and State applies to publicly funded schools. :)

There should be no religion in school, but I wouldn't object if they provided the children of theists with free classes in critical thinking.

religion shouldnt be allowed in schools. If religious parents were really serious and spiritual wouldnt mind to educate their children ,in whatever faith they have, at home...and leave schools free from something that may be too complicated for children to understand.

Facts are taught in schools, not faiths. Therefore faith should have nothing to do with it, just like kids aren't split up depending on their favorite color.
